Summary: Outstanding reading!
Review: I just recently discover Mr. Compton's books, and he sure hooked me. This gentleman keeps my attention from page to page. Am on the second of this trilogy, and look forward to the third. This is reading at its best. Thanks Mr. Compton, and keep the girl gunslinger going.

Summary: I Love It!
Review: I love this book, as soon as I finished it I started it over again:) It's the best book I've read in a long time. I loved the fact that the main character was a girl!

Summary: Very good would make a good movie
Review: I read the book, and would re-read it. I have had 4 other people read it and they would like another book written in a sequel.

As a western it is good. I believe that in the olden days of the western era, it very well could have happened as it was written. Just like some men, women could have been hard and cold. I have read many westerns, and have read true events that occurred in history, some women were taught to be rough in those days just to survive.

I liked the book and am waiting for another to follow Death Rides A Chestnut Mare.

Summary: Death Rides A Chestnut Mare
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I like the fact that the main character is a girl. Danielle, due to the fact her brothers are too young, decides to go after those who killed her father. The story line is so interesting that I could not put it down. I can't wait until the sequel "In the Shadow of the Noose" comes out in March 2000.

Summary: Compton Books
Review: I've read all of Ralph Comptons books. It is unfortunate that Mr. Compton passed away this past year. If you enjoy reading action westerns purhase the entire series of Compton books. Last publication, "The Shadow of a Noose" is very good also. Thanks to Mr. Ralph Cotton, the Compton legacy lives on.
