Rating: Summary: Student of Reiki-Future student of Wei Chi Reiki Review: As a 2nd degree Reiki student who was in the midst of deciding what master Rekie teacher I would use for the rest of my teaching I found this book extremely interseting and informative. After reading the negative reviews and actually having the Wei-Chi Reiki used on myself it is obvious to me that these people are not as enlightened as they wish to think, for negativity of that level is unhealthy and not of the energy that this teacher would want using his work. I have been exposed to this new element of Reiki and found it to be extremely powerful. I will be working with these teachers prior to getting my Reiki Masters so that I will have more to offer the community.

Rating: Summary: Not To Be Missed! Review: As a Reiki Master/Teacher, I have read any number of works on Reiki. This book has clarified and magnified so many things that I have discovered in my own work, as well as opening up some fascinating perspectives that I had not considered. The most pertinent point, I think, is that 'traditional' Usui Reiki in it's purest form does not require active client participation, and as such will not fully address deep, core issues. This Wei Chi Reiki information is a powerful step towards integrating true, deep healing into the Reiki system. I applaud these authors!
Rating: Summary: Excellent reading and enhances client healing. Review: As a Usui Reiki Master I was pleased to read "The Lost Steps of Reiki" this year. Thanks to Kevin and Tommy's simplicity of style, this book is easy to read and digest. The practices they have addressed in their book have been easy to incorporate into my practice and have provided my clients with tangible ways in which to facilitate their own healing. This has greatly influenced the way I treat my clients and they are now able to take responsibility for their healing as I continue to utilize Wei Chi's practices.
Rating: Summary: Very Interesting! Review: Channeled thoughts and pearls of wisdom about the Reiki origin and purpose, and how Reiki should be practiced according to Wei Chi - one of the founders of Reiki 5 000 years ago. Wei Chi, which is channeled by the authors, are tough and ruthless in his opinions of the practice of Reiki of today. He is a very imposing teacher and personality that you can't help but like. This is a real favourite for me! You can visit the authors homepage at http://www.weboflight.com/.

Rating: Summary: finally - answers to my questions! Review: I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this book, but was mesmerized by the account that unfolded about the ancient Reiki master channeling information. It is directly in line with what I believe to be essential in the practicing of Reiki - helping the client see their imbalances so they can heal themselves, speaking throughout the treatment, diagnosing through the process of 'seeing' energy blocks and imbalances. There are many radical concepts, but true ones - Reiki was never intended to be repeat business, people must take responsibility for creating their own illnesses, as well as take responsibility for healing their illnesses. It is an excellent resource book for those just starting on their Reiki path.
Rating: Summary: finally - answers to my questions! Review: I was greatly disappointed with this book as the authors profess that Wei Chi channeled this information to them to advise on proper Reiki techniques and approaches to diagnosis. I was able to swallow most of what the book offered as Wei would speak of working with Master through-out the book. However, I was highly offended by the addition at the end that since the books writing the authors have launched their own version of Reiki based on Wei's teachings and that Wei has renunciated the use of the word Master. A bit much and a bit hard to believe.

Rating: Summary: Buy it.... And decide for yourself... Review: In reading the "not so good" reviews below, I could swear that I hear a little entrenched dogma rearing it's head. Having been in various forms of energetic healing now, including Reiki (3rd degree), and having taken the time to compare, I did find Reiki to be "missing something"... and that "something" (lack of client participation) is zeroed in on like a laser in this book. (Do Reiki "masters" really just want clients to walk in, lay down, remain silent, and leave as soon as the session is over? What about the client making conscious decisions and participating in their own recovery... gaining the experience of finding out how to empower themselves in the process...?) It's a simple concept, which takes only a few words to explain, which is why this book is so short. As much as I like what the book has to say in that regard, I'm not a trusting fan of channeled information, having seen some real "quacks" channel. So you'll get no polyanna "it's celestial!" from me. And I found myself skimming over most of the "enthusiastic criticism" of current Reiki by "Wei Chi". (The truly enlightened people I've met stay focused on the good and let the "bad" fall by the wayside...) So, I'm not so sure about the authenticity of the "source"... but the message speaks volumes that all energy workers would benefit from paying attention to.
