Summary: PROFOUND YET SIMPLE IDEAS!
Review: I bought one of the authors other's titles and loved it. SO I bought this tape too.

This tape is also from one of the author's workshops. You really get a feeling for how the authors ideas can help people to be more in the moment.

I have been able to apply many of their ideas immediately. And really feel more centered as well as effective every time after listenning to the tape.

While the ideas are not new - I really can feel the genuiness of the authors and they do have a unique slant on how to become self-realized. The authors seem to speak from experience and it feels exciting to experience some of their approach to self-discovery as one of the participants in their seminar would...

They are less mindy than most other authors - but they are fresher, more humorous, and lighter. And to me that makes it more powerful. It works for me...

This is not really like like anything else I have ever heard. But I think you have to be willing to listen to it fresh to get what they are saying. Because of course in one sense what they are saying is not totally new...basically it is about Being Here Now as Ram Dass said long ago...but I feel that the Kanes are real. I have read some of their columns and I really feel they give very insightful advice to people and have a deep understanding of human nature...

Summary: I felt ripped off -- don't waste your money.
Review: I bought this audiotape because of the positive reviews of their book which I have not read, and I was expecting a professional presentation of their ideas. Instead, what I got was an expensive recording of an interactive seminar they had given in New York City. The sound quality was poor. I was bothered by their constant breathing into the microphone, and I found it hard to hear the questions from the audience. There was very little content and the presentation was disorganized because of the random questions from the audience. Some of the chatting with the audience was interesting, but I ended up feeling that I spent a lot of money and got little in return. As far as I can tell, all the Kanes have to offer is some scattered pop psychology and a watered down version of mindfulness meditation. They seem to have three ideas: 1) What you resist, persists; 2) Be present in the moment and your life will transform; and 3) Take responsibility for your life and stop blaming your parents, spouse, and others.

Summary: HEART WARMING TAPE FOR LIFE ALTERING LISTENING
Review: I had a sense even before I popped this tape in to listen to, that I would enjoy it and I was right.

The interaction between the Kanes and the seminar participants in this tape is so touching, inspiring and refreshing in it's honesty. I loved the feeling of being part of the Kanes' seminar, at some points I even found myself responding to the tape player!

While listening to the Kanes' seminar unfold I found myself becoming more comfortable and relaxed and yet excited about the wonderful possibilities the Kanes were presenting.

Through listening to their audio tapes and reading their book "Working on Yourself Doesn't Work" those same possibilities have become realities for me in having a satisfying, loving and rewarding life. I am on to their Magical Relationships tape next...oh life is soo good!

Summary: Practical and profound.
Review: I liked this tape. The authors described principles of self-realization in a clear and humorous way. I also enjoyed their interactions with the audience -- they used specific situations in peoples' lives to illustrate their "instantaneous transformation" approach.

Summary: Simplistic Psychobable
Review: The authors who lecture on this tape are living proof that "working on yourself doesn't work". They tried and it didn't work for them, so they just decided they were perfectly wonderful the way they are...and there is nothing they can do to change that. As a result, they come across as self-appointed pompous gurus who try to mystify the audience with their simplistic Zen-like psychobabble. I agree with the other review that says "don't waste your money".

Summary: An easy way to get magic in your life
Review: This tape provides a very simple, accessible and easy way to find a deeper experience of life. I found that what the Kanes talk about is so simple I didn't want to grasp it all at first because it seemed too easy. But through their interactions with real people who have real issues and challenges, I saw how it relates to my life. I listened to the tape on my way to work more than once and found it a great way to start and end my day. They share the possibility that life doesn't have to be difficult and just listening to them brought great peace and awareness into my life. They have a way of not only explaining their discoveries about life, but somehow getting them through to me where I didn't feel like I had to remember any kind of mantra or tips for later. I have listened to their other tapes and highly recommend them as well.
