Review: Save your money on this one. Luanne Rice is a gifted writer of intelligent fiction, but in CLOUD NINE she gives way to a more simplistic, "romance" style of writing. I recommend instead that you try her earlier novels HOME FIRES and CRAZY IN LOVE. They are both worthy of your time and money.

Review: This book ripped my heart out but in a wonderful way. After all, what is Life but a circle that eventually leads to death? The only important thing that makes life worth living is love. And there's lots of that in this book, along with a full gamut of other emotions. Will and Sarah - absolute soulmates. Consider yourself lucky if you ever find the kind of love, respect and happiness they had in each other. And even if death pulls you apart, know that God will reunite you after death with all your loved ones. They did. Without sounding too dark - READ THIS. Yes, you'll probably cry but you'll never forget Sarah and Will, their children and their exquisite story.

Summary: A real tear jerker....but i liked it anyway
Review: This book is a shameless tear jerker but we need those kind of books every now and then. Rice gives us a beautiful story about what happens to people when they suffer a loss. She develops her characters well and carries us through the many emotions we face when we experience love and death and love again. It is a really beautiful story and after I stopped crying I was able to finish the last few pages.

Review: This was the first book I've read by Luanne Rice and I definately will be reading more. I was so caught up in the story that it was the on my mind the whole time I was work and I couldn't wait to get back home to read more. It was a beautifully written book and anyone who wasn't moved by it has no compasion for his fellow human beings. As soon as I finished, I told my husband that he had to read it too and his opinion was the same as mine. He said it certainly cleared out his sinus (his way of saying that it brought tears to his eyes too). This book definately takes a place of honor in our library.

Review: I was a big fan of Blue Moon, one of Luanne Rice's other books, so I bought this. It was awful. Very predictable characters, soap opera plot, and very light reading. I'd like to pass my copy on to someone, but I think it would be an insult. This one's a loser. Sorry, Luanne.

Summary: This is the first book I have read form this author...
Review: This is the first I have read from Luanne Rice and I can tell you I am going out this afternoon for another one. I haven't cried so hard while reading a book in a LONG time.... She is recovering from cancer and friends of hers send her on a 20 minute plane ride for her birthday.... sparks fly between her and the pilot, but at first they have to get through some real issues. His daughter and ex wife and her son who moved in with her father at the family farm raising geese. She owns a store called CLOUD NINE which sells handmade comforters and other handmade items. I don't want to tell you anymore, because it would spoil it for you. JUST GO TO THE LIBRARY OR BOOKSTORE AND GET THIS BOOK . You won't be sorry!

Review: Luanne Rice is one of my favorite authors, but this was not one of her best in my opinion. While the major characters were very likable and the plot emotional, I found it too simplistically written and not up to her previous books like Home Fires and Stone Angel.

Review: This is literally a book that you can not put down. The characters are so alive that there were times I felt I was experiencing the actual events. It is a real tearjerker, but a book that has become a part of my life. I actually feel very enriched after reading this wonderful novel and it has made me make some changes in my life.

Review: This book is written very smoothly. It's a story of finding love, finding your home, beleiving in family and their support. I found myself unable to read the last part of the book through all the tears (remember Terms of Endearment). The book,however, is not depressing. Cloud 9 takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotions and lets you off still intact.

Review: This is a beautifully written story about love, loss, family, and coping. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it at the bookstore. The characters are likeable with fears and faults that make it easier to believe they're real. The scenery is vividly described. Buy it now!
