Summary: Fun for what it's worth...
Review: For mindless entertainment, this book fits the bill. Entertaining, but by no means a work of art, I recommend getting it from the library or waiting for paperback. Better than Nathan's Run.

Summary: WOW
Review: I am a thriller fanatic and was blown away by Gilstrap. His second novel even blows nathan's Run out of the water. If you want something that will keep you on the edge of your seat, there is nothing better.

Summary: what a waste of time.
Review: I am ashamed that I invested the cover price for this wordy work of pulp trash. I was even worse than Nathan's run.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Superbly believable. Has it all.
Review: Rarely do I come across a book that has it all: a believable plot, fast-paced action, well-written, deals with the human emotions as well as the action itself. This has got to be one of them. Very smooth reading. Very fair ending that leaves nothing to the imagination. A MUST read!

Summary: A great read!
Review: At the definition of "page-turner" your dictionary should have a photo of this book! It's about a family struggling to survive, being on the run for 14 years. They seem to be like that nice family next door---or are they actually mass murderers? A truly skilled author spins a truly fascinating yarn.

Summary: Excellent book, an exciting read!
Review: This was my first Gilstrap book and I'm happy to say it won't be my last. It was without a doubt the best thriller I've read in a long time. I made the mistake of reading it at bedtime and it left me wide awake, heart pounding, for hours after reading. I was especially impressed with his characterizations. He made you feel as if you personally knew each and every character and cared what happened to them. I'm off to find a copy of Nathan's Run. Gilstrap goes down on my list of authors to watch!

Summary: John Gilstrap has exceeded even my expectations
Review: I read the Kirkus review of this book and wonder if they really enjoy any books. This book was well written, maybe the plot was similar to Nathan's Run but most authors who write suspense books tend to stick to similar ideas but that does not make them bad. I thoroughly enjoyed this entire book and even though some of it was a stretch (miss the bad guys by a hair) well, thats what entertainment is all about. I caught myself holding my breath waiting for the white caddie to appear. Will read anything this author puts out unless he really screws up downstream and becomes a word factory like some others. Would rather wait for a really good book than get more that are just cranked out.

Summary: I hated to put it down!
Review: After reading Nathen's Run, I was anxious to see if this was as good or better. Pleased to say that it surpasses Nathen's Run. The plot is intriguing because it doesn't tell you the whole story up front. You haven't a clue as to what happened to set up the scenerio presented. Ending unexpected. Congratulations to the author.

Summary: A first time reader of Gilstrap I found this a very good b
Review: I've not read anything by Mr Gilstrap and was hesitant to check this one out but the librarian insisted. I was thoroughly pleased. It is an intriguing story that held my interest from cover to cover. I will be awaiting more from this author

Summary: Not for the faint of heart!!!
Review: Hold on to your seats! This is a non-stop roller coaster ride. Gilstrap does it again. I was pumping so much adrenaline by the time I finished this book all I could do was walk around the house for a half hour saying "Oh my God!". If John Gilstrap keeps this pace of writing, he should start having warnings added to the sleve of his books that state something like; 'If you have a heart condition, consult your doctor before reading the last chapters of this book'. Another great read, John. Looking forward to the next one.
