Summary: Refreshing and inspiring
Review: In his ever-fresh way, Max Lucado manages to walk the believer through the often-intimidating prophecies of the second coming while never becoming bogged down in eschatological tedium. His message is, 'You can be ready when it all goes down, and you can face it unafraid.' The book is aimed at believers; an unbeliever reading this book (?) would be left aware of his need, though I'm not quite sure he would know exactly what to do about it. For the believer, though, the book is very comforting. Hebrews 9:28 says that Jesus will return a second time for those who eagerly wait for Him. This book will help our wait be an eager one.

Summary: The Second Coming
Review: Max Lucado gives an easy-to-understand explanation of the Second Coming of Christ in this book. He uses Scripture, along with examples from everyday life, to show what it will be like. He advises the reader on what his attitude should be while "waiting forwardly" for Christ. He tells us what Scripture means when it says we will be raised to Heaven at our death and will be given a new body when Christ returns. He tells us about the difference between being saved and then about appearing before God on Judgment Day. He emphasizes God's grace and the defeat of Satan. This is a clear and concise book which will give the Christian a positive feeling about the Second Coming.

Summary: Easy Reading
Review: Max Lucado makes reading about the Lord simple and understandable. When you are overwhelmed with trying to figure out where to go from here, he provides analogies, stories and anecdotes to make things more clear. Its kind of like, without being sacriligious, the Bible-lite.

Summary: I'm Waiting Forwardly
Review: Max Lucado's When Christ Comes is a straight-forward yet wonderfully eye-opening revelation of what Christ's Second Coming will be like, and what we can look forward to. What will Heaven be like? If you have had questions similar to these, buy this book. You'll have a revelation.
