Rating: Summary: WHAT A MISTAKE! Review: I picked this book up because the cover led me to believe this was a mystery - instead, I had to force my way through 'trembling bodies, heaving breasts' and the like. Even as a romance book, this one was *bad*! This really insults women - the lead character is the only woman in town without pink hair, penciled eyebrows and corns all over her feet. The 'mystery' part of the story wasn't all that believable either. Save yourself the $6 and leave this one on the shelf!
Rating: Summary: Could not even finish it Review: I was totally put off by the way the characters kept callingeach other sugar and honey, I knew from the very start that the twomain characters would fall in love and I gave up after chapter 3. It was boring and I wasted my money on it. It is going to my local trade a book-store.
Rating: Summary: Corny, predictable, borrrrriinnggg Review: I have read several of Tami Hoag's books and liked them quite well. I had to force myself to finish this one, and couldn't believe it was the same author!! As other reviewers have mentioned, it's like reading a brainless, barbie-doll romance novel. I'll be reluctant to read another of hers...
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK Review: I think this was a great book. I enjoyed the romance mixed into a wonderful mystery. I had no idea who the killer was until the very end. I think for early work the book was very good.
Rating: Summary: Who wrote this book? Review: I've read most of Tammy Hoag's books and this was like a Harlequin Romance! The story line was good but I got so tierd of the repetitive descriptions of who wore what and how "his manhood stirred". I now wish I had not read the book.
Rating: Summary: Predictable Review: I am only going to finish this book because I need closure. This book is disappointing, predictable and insulting to women. After this I never want to read another book where the two main characters (who are highly attractive, of course) initially have deep dislike bordering on hate for eachother which eventually bursts into passionate love. Yuck...and enough of this garbage already.
Rating: Summary: If you like Harequin Romance novels... Review: The dialogue and characterization are so bad I couldn't keep going. This is the first Hoag novel I've read and it will be the last.
Rating: Summary: She's done better Review: Of course, if you know Tami Hoag, then you are aware that this is one of her earlier works. It is interesting to find an author you like and then regress to some of her earlier work. You can see how she has grown, yet, even in the beginning she showed great promise. I feel it is worth the read, it has a good twist at the end.
Rating: Summary: CHEEZY!!!! Review: Now I'm reminded why I don't read "these kinds of books." I was interested in reading something different, in the suspense/mystery genre. This book is an insult to anyone who appreciates well-written, meaningful fiction. It is mislabeled as a mystery novel. It is really a cheezy, sex novel with ridiculously inane dialogue. Give me a break. I will and put it down in the basement for the next garage sale!!!!
Rating: Summary: This was one book I just couldn't put down! Review: If you love a great mystery accompanied by a great love story, then this one's for you! Forget reading to relax or to to try to get to sleep--I stayed up almost all night just wondering what was going to happen next! This was my first experience with Tami Hoag, and if you make it yours, you'll be as certain as I that it will not be your last. Happy reading!
