Summary: Wonderful and Memorable
Review: A few years ago, I got this book. I read it, and it is a wonderfully memorable and charming story about three children, Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis, living in the English countryside. I can't remember it, but it was absolutly great, and E. Nesbit's words painted beautiful pictures in my head of what was going on. Wonderful.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The Railway Children-- A great summer book
Review: E.Nesbit's novel The Railway Children is a great book that tells about a family's life that changes from wealth and "perfection" to the family becoming poor and has to live in on a farm. Also there was a great mystery about what happened to father and where he as gone.

Summary: BORING
Review: I absoloutly hated this book, it is extremely pointless and stupid and I couldnt make out much of a plot. It is interesting how it has been kept in print after 100 years.

"Look here comes the train"
"Lets wave flags at it and stand in the middle of the track to make it stop!"
"Roberta get out of the way!"
"But it hasn't..." SPLAT!!
Thats what should have happened, if you read this book you will see why.
There is nothing more to say.

Summary: A book for all ages.
Review: I am 19 years all student and I had to choose a book in the home reading.I chose this book and when I finnished it, only then I found out that this is a book for children. I enjoyed this book very much and I am sure that "The Railway Children" is for all ages.

Summary: A fantastic summer read!
Review: I just finished reading this book with ten rising fifth graders. It was a "stretch read" for most of the children because the text is heavily colored by the time period, language, and general style. BUT! This was a very worhty read. Each chapter reads similarily to a short story in that there is an adventure, resolution, and moral to the story. The students responded positively to the daily challenge of the chapter length, the sophisticated language, and the romanticism of the setting. This was a very good choice for us. As a mother and a teacher--I recommed this novel enthusiastically!

Summary: the railway children is a 9 out of 10 book!
Review: I like the Railway Children a lot, especially how the author told the story. I liked Bobbie because there is something different about her,she was helpful and sweet at the same time. I am wondering where the dog James went? Other than that, the story was great!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The Railway Children excelent book for the summer
Review: I liked E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children because there was a good mystery about what happened to Father for Bobbie,Peter, and Phyllis. But, one day Bobbie walked into town everybody was acting weird so Bobbie got a weird feeling she went home for her lesson but she didn't take it. She went back to the train station and her Father came out of the train and Bobbie took him to their house! It is a great book,I hope you get to read it.

Summary: What Happend to James?
Review: I liked The Railway Children,it was a good book. I liked how the Author worte the story. But what happend to James? Other than that, it was a fun and good book.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not bad, but a little bland
Review: I read this for school, and I must confess I enjoyed parts of it. However, some parts of it were just drop-dead boring. It would have been better as a collection of short stories, because that's what it really is (it's just told in novel form).

This book deserves a 3 out of 5, no more and no less.
