Summary: An Excellent Value
Review: Children will love this attractively illustrated version of Moore`s famous poem of Christmas Eve. EVERY page has a picture: from soft snowy scenes, an expectant Victorian living room in dusk, colorful sugarplums and presents, to the jolly old elf, himself: each page could be a Christmas card. Illustrator Kathy Wilburn surely enjoys her work. A lovely Chrismas book at an affordable price.

Summary: MY UNCLES VERY BEST
Review: Clement C. Moore is my Great Uncle . From what I understand via my family, he wrote this and gave it to the city of New York as a gift one might say. My family has never profited financially from its popularity but we know that it brings so much love and happiness to others during this time of year, we profit every time a child reads it for the first time. I am curious to know of anyone who may have details of my uncle that may be little known. This story has been under my families tree and read at our tables for so many years. My name is Allison Cross and I live in Arizona. When I read this poem I feel like I am at home by the fire with snow on the ground and eggnog on my breath, I long for the snow during these times and reading Clements works eases me and enables me to imagine the traditional Christmas that makes this time of year so special to me. Please E-mail me with any comments or stories you may have about this work.(DAMATHEY @prodigy.com) " Merry Christmas to all...."

Summary: Excellent artwork! And what child doesn't love this story!
Review: Each page in this book is definitely a piece of art! Mary Engelbreit outdid herself on this one. I initially checked it out from our local library and then decided I wanted it for our girls. It's a book I want them to be able to read to their own children one day! I would definitely recommend it!

Summary: Howard Finster's Folksy View of "The Night Before Christmas"
Review: Howard Finster illustrates Clement Moore's classic "The Night Before Christmas" in vivid, twentieth century folk art tradition. Finster's unique and imaginative representation combines a meld of his vision of God's creation, angels, with man's creation, Santa Claus. Additionally, the Reverend Finster renders his optimistic, spiritual view of the opportunity the Christmas season presents for mankind to experience good. Howard Finster helps readers escape the over-commercialism that had crept into this delightful holiday season.
