Summary: You gotta buy this book!
Review: I am still reading this but, it has been just as fun to read as all the others I have read. The short stories are good for me and my hectic schedule and short attention span(I am 25 years old and getting better on the attention part). If I need a little laugh, I go to the funny part, and, every section has a different type of short stories in it. Of course, some will make you feel like crying or touch your soul, some will make you giggle or maybe even burst out laughing if you have had the same experience. The "Family Circus" cartoons are light-hearted ways to look at important things as well. You gotta buy this book!

Summary: Great Gift!
Review: I bought this book for my grandma and she loved it. It's a great addition to any of the Chicken Soup series.

Summary: Nice Stories, but not much substance.
Review: I did enjoy this book, and there were some really moving stories and some funny stories, but i didn't find it too terribly filling. Honestly, i personally can't say i'd recommend it. The problem i had with it is that it lacks substance. The stories, while are mostly very nice, do not even attempt (for the most part) to tell the Gospel. And (too) many of the stories had themes that were doctrinally and biblically unsound. I am critical only because it is named "Chicken soup for the CHRISTIAN soul." As a book, it does not bring forth a world view that is terribly Christian. I believe a more apt title would have been "Chicken soup for the God-believing soul." Some may not see a difference, but it's definately there...

"Do you still think it's enough just to believe that there is one God? Well, even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror!" James 2:19 (NLT)

I think a MUCH better book is Joni Earickson Tada's "When God Weeps." That book is also quite moving, but it also contains much Godly wisdom, and makes a conscious effort to show what the bible says about life and death and suffering.

Summary: Very inspirational
Review: I have not yet completed this book, but I am in the process of finishing it now. So far it is very motivational. The chapter on Faith has got some real meaningful messeges. I recommend that anyone who needs some words of wisdom should open this book. It is definately worth the time and worth the money. I am only 20 years old and have read a lot of books, but this one is literally too hard to put down. When I put it down after reading a story I feel like being the best of God's people. God's work is really involved in these stories, and in putting them together so that we can enjoy them and learn about some wonderful workings of God.

Summary: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is a wonderful book.
Review: I have read exerpts from Chicken Soup for the Soul but I haven't finished it. I have, however, being a teenager, read Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul. It was the most inspirational book I have ever read. Its uplifing stories have helped me to better understand my life and relationships as a teenage Christian dealing with today's problems. I would highly recommend any book in this wonderful series to anyone and everyone!!!

Summary: Okay, but the earlier books were MUCH better
Review: I loved this book. I bought it with a giftcard I got for my birthday. I read through it when I was at a point in my life when I had doubts about God. In a way, God led me to read this book and it helped to open my mind and my heart about God and His love for me. I truly recommend this book.

Summary: I only like extra cheese on my Pizza....
Review: I really enjoyed the first Chicken Soup books and the stories were warm and fuzzy -- good falling asleep or bathroom reading.....This series, in it's quest to maximize its' fad-like shelf-life, has lapsed into cheesy, moralistic garbage. I admit that I didn't finish the book, but I did not find myself moved, and felt that the book was quite manipulative. Chritianity has better forums than this.

Summary: A Warm Blessing
Review: If you are a Christian, you need this book on your book shelf. The stories are moving, faithfilled and filled with joy. Prepare to laugh, prepare to cry ... prepare to further BELIEVE!
