Rating: Summary: This book makes you realize how important your children are Review: I recommend this book to anyone who is by God's grace lucky enough to be a parent. The stories make you laugh one minute and then cry the next. This is truly an inspirational book.I rate this as my favorite so far of all of the Chicken soup books i've read(4). It's definetly worth the money!!
Rating: Summary: A pleasure to read, warmed my heart. Review: I thought this book was very enjoyable. I am an avid reader of the Chicken Soup for the Souls series and as a new mother I thought this book was perfect. Of course some of the stories are more touching than others, but they all sparked an emotional response from me. The format of short stories makes the book easy to read and hard to put down. I often find myself at night, saying, " Okay, I'll just read one more story" and 45 min later of course I'm still reading. I would recommend this book to all, mothers, children, fathers, grandparents. . ., but its a tear-jerker so remember the tissues!!
Rating: Summary: highly recommended Review: If you've ever been a mother or a daughter this book is definately for you. The stories will make you laugh and cry and, best of all, you'll recognize yourself in many of the pages. This book is one of my favorites. It's a real treasure. Five stars! Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL!! A MUST-READ. Review: IT WAS A VERY TOUCHING & MOVING BOOK. MY FAVORITE STORY WAS THE ONE ABOUT THE BOBBY PINS. I'M 14 YEARS OLD, & I REALLY THANK MY ART TEACHER FOR INTRODUCING THESE BOOKS TO ME. HATS OFF TO MARK VICTOR HANSEN & THE REST OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN MAKING THIS BOOK!!
Rating: Summary: It made me appreciate my mother all the more. Review: My sisters and I gave this book to our mom for Mother's Day and she just loved it. When I went to Europe recently, I brought it with me and I cried and laughed alternately. Every story was so heartwarming, and it made me miss my mom back home. I shared it with 3 of my tourmates and they enjoyed a lot the little that they had read. They all wanted to get a copy to give to their own mothers. I can hardly wait for the second volume to come out. I hope it will be soon.
Rating: Summary: Heartwarming Review: These stories will touch your heart. I laughed and I cried throughout this book. I absolutely love the Chicken Soup collection. Each book never fails to provide wonderful stories. Appreciate being a mother when you read these stories... be glad you don't have all the tribulations. Or, be comforted in knowing you are not the only one in your situation.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful book that reflects the joys of motherhood. Review: This book had me reaching for the tissues at just about every story. I have a 3-month old baby girl who at first I thought was nothing but a nuisance. Then I began reading about how other parents felt at the birth of their children and how feelings of despair and frustration turned into love and care for these same little people. I also loved reading about how each stage of childhood progresses and the simple joys that can be experienced in each one. It felt odd but now I know how other mothers feel when they state that time goes by so quickly and before one knows it baby has become toddler which becomes child which becomes adolescent which becomes adult and then leaves to start their own cycle of life. A wonderful book to remind mothers of how special their relationships with their children really are regardless of their age- from the adult who comes to mom for advice to the child who says, " You are the best part of my day."
