Summary: Great book!
Review: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is amazing, with inspiring stories about everything ~ friendship, love, parents, death/dying, sickness, and divorce (to name a few). Every story in this book is amazing, I didn't think any were bad, each one inspiring in its own way.

A few of my personal favorite stories were:
- Tigress: A story about a veternarian...one day a teenage boy ("Just too young to drive" quotes the author) comes into her office because his cat is sick. What he didn't know was that his beloved cat has cancer, and will need to be put down, or they can prolong her life with painful chemotherapy treatments. The way the author describes the pain the boy experiences is the best thing about the story, it brought me to tears. My very favorite in the book.
-A Mason Dixon Memory: A story about racisim, overcoming it, and the bonds between friends. It's an awesome story, the friends in the book are amazing - another one that made me cry.

This book is awesome, and really helps to overcome your problems.

Overall grade - A+

Summary: A must-have for all teenagers!
Review: "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" is part of the Chicken Soup series which contains stories, poems and so on compiled by a number of dedicated people, including Kimberly Kirberger (who has recently published a book of her own entitled 'No Body's Perfect'). I received this book as a gift for my thirteenth birthday and have been referring to it ever since. It is a sort of teenagers' manual and provides the support and comfort we sometimes lack. Enough topics are covered to reach out to everyone so you will definitely find something that applies to you. Even if these teenage experiences do not present the solution to your problem the mere fact that someone understands and shares your feelings will ease the pain and supply you with the hope and confidence needed to pull through.

Summary: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul
Review: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is a book dedicated to help teenagers' make it through the difficult times they face in high school. No subject is taboo; this book deals with relationships, friendships, suicides and death of loved ones. It is a great book and does not put down teenagers', yet values them for what they are and could be. However, even though the subjects they dealt with were very important to teens I found that the last chapter, "Going for It" was not as touching and motivating as the others. The death of loved ones, the loss of a best friend, are all subjects that sooner or later, teens will face. However, though some stories were less touching and inspirational then others, it was nice to have a book almost completely written by teens, as well as some stories from actresses such as Jennifer Love Hewitt. I think that every teen that is going through tough times or that is afraid of what the future holds should turn to this book for advice and a look at what people have been through and how they have gotten through it.

Summary: Inspiration
Review: When I first read this book I thought it was wonderful. The stories in it never really hit me until a couple months ago. About a month before I turned 14 my mom found out that she had cancer. It all struck me hard. I never thought that anything like this could happen to my family. The stories in this book helped me and game me inspiration.
It's only been 4 months since my mom was diagnosed with cancer, but she's doing great. She had the cancer removed and she had 2 more treatments of radiation before she's finished. Every day I think God that she's still here with me. I now read this book after everything had happended and have a different out look on it. Thanks!!

Summary: Super Duper!
Review: I read it from cover to cover in less than a week! It's a fantastic book and I learned the stories. Often, I repeat the stories to other people because the stories are so touching and memorable. You can pick a story out of order or just read it from cover to cover! Now I just pick a story out of order only because i thought it was more endearing to me...

Summary: by "teenage" they mean ages 10-14
Review: Most of these stories are the typical feel-good, not quite realistic stories you'd expect from an inspirational book. Sure they may have real-life meaning, but the stories themselves are mostly emotional fabrications. I looked forward to reading this but was severely disappointed.

Summary: Chicken Soup Huh?
Review: I received this book as a Birthday present. It looked interesting. I read the introduction and just about barfed. The introduction was telling the reader that this was a book you could always turn to when life gets rough. PLEASE!! Give me a break. This book was written by humans. Humans are flawed. So that obviousely means that this book is flawed. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. So since this book is imperfect, how can it relate to everything you're going through? Every life is different. Everyone makes a different choice. No two lives are the same. And since this book isn't perfect, how do you know what they're telling you is true? How do you know the answers they're giving you are the right ones? How do you know whether or not they're lieing to you? You don't. So the question is, are you going to trust them? What if they're wrong? What if the answers they give you aren't the ones you want?
I'll admit, a couple of these stories did touch me. I did enjoy some of the poems that had been written. But some stories were really lame.
In this book there was a section called the 'Teenage Bill of Rights'. One of the teenage rights were to be loved unconditionally and love unconditionally. But that's impossible. No one can love you unconditionally. Humans make mistakes. We can't love unconditionally on our own. God is the ONLY person who'll ever love you unconditionally. People are going to hurt you, and friends WILL let you down. But God will always be there for you.
There was a story in this book called 'Life Just Isn't'. And it was saying that life is about how you feel about your self, how you touch others, and a lot of other stuff. But that's all trash. Being a human you can't avoid jealousy, ignorance, or hate. You can't get rid of all that junk without some help. You can only get that help from Jesus Christ.
At the end of this book I felt let down. I had high hopes for this book. Maybe they were just too high. If you want, you could try this book. But don't say I didn't warn you.

Summary: Best book for teens!
Review: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul

By, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Kimberley Kirberger and many others

The genre is overall love, but there are also the topics of learning and life
The exposition: the characters in this book are infinite because this book is made up of short stories, poems, etc. so the characters are a many. The setting in this book differs from now to around the 50's. The problem also varies with this book having MANY problems resulting from the fact that there are many different stories in it.
One of the characters is Tommy (from "Tell the World for Me") he is a young man who is in college and doesn't have much faith in God if any, but he later learns that his college bible teacher was right about God that is "...I am certain that God will find you..." he gets cancer and ends up passing away but he tells his teacher to tell the world what he learned. Another character is Kate (from "She Didn't Give Up on Me"), she just adopted a child who has never had someone to truly love her and keep her for more than a few months. Kate never gives up on her new little girl and teaches her that not everyone in the world gives up on people like her. One more character is Lia (from "Losing the 'Us'"), her and her boyfriend just broke up and the break up not only was a social embarrassment but also is causing her stress. But Lia finds that she doesn't need her "ex" and just needs other things to take up the time in her life that used to be devoted to him.

All the characters in this book have motivations, considering the whole book is basically to motivate people-teens in specific. (From the characters above) Tommy is motivated by God and his college bible teacher. Kate is motivated by other people, who had adopted her new little girl, and Lia is motivated by her break up with her recent boyfriend and by the fact that she realized she didn't need him.
There weren't really any weaknesses of this book, but much strength! The writing styles were all different because they were all written by different people but also the same because they are for the most part writing about personal life experiences. All the stories in this book defiantly follow the genre very well, as they do the topic "...for Teens...".

Summary: The best book ever
