Rating: Summary: Thurman turns the Buddha against Newt Gingrich Review: I am a great fan of 99.9% of Chopra's work but this one quickly descends into an embarrassing left-wing political Rant by Robert Thurman against Newt Gingrich and other imaginary cartoon devils in the name of the divinest inspiration. We should take all our defense budget and give it to the blacks who are being slaughtered by police in this country. This is the most sophomoric Rant you will ever hear and it sounds more like a 1980s campus left-wing beer party where no one over 21 is invited and the campus radicals are all up there spewing. The problem with a program that attempts to elevate and explain Buddhism and then use that scaffold to build a political agenda on is that it is beneath Dr. Chopra whose brilliant works on the generation of wealth completely counter Thurman's hysteria and poverty consciousness. Deepak should have vetoed it.
