Rating: Summary: More smoke than substance Review: Side 1 of this tape is from the point of view of the person who has died; side 2 speaks to the person who is left behind. Music is synthesized and mainly based on familiar religious music. The author reads her work in slow phrases that I found very distracting and not soothing or comforting as I had hoped. Side 1 seems more to speak to the person who is preparing for death, and I found it more distressing than helpful, especially since my loved one already has passed... Side 2 was more comforting, but the metered phrases, spoken in a voice I'm sure is meant to be gentle and soothing, were very distracting to me. The author repeats over and over.."He is alive...he is alive." No, he is not, and we are trying to deal with that reality. The description of this tape promises more than it delivers.
