Review: I WAS TRULY HAPPY WITH THE WHOLE BOOK IT GAVE THE SINCE OF REAL FAMILY AND WHAT SISTERS SOME TIMES GO THRU! I HAVE TWO SISTERS OF MY OWN AND THEIR REALTIONSHIP REMINDS ME ALOT OF OURS IN THE SENSE THAT WE FUSS AND FIGHT BUT YET WE STILL LOVE ONE ANOTHER! MY HEART RACED EVERYTIME I GOT TO A NEW CHAPTER OF THE BOOK... I FOUND MYSELF NOT WANTING THE BOOK TO END VERY GOOD READING!

Summary: A TRUE WASTE OF GOOD PAPER!!!
Review: I was very excited by the title, but after reading about four chapters, I had already knew this book would drag on!!! This book had nothing to do with sisterhood or lovers, instead it was about a constant relationship of 3 bickering sisters who could never get it right. A good book usually takes 1 to 2 days to read, this one was soo slow and boring, it took a whole month! I do not recommend sisters and lovers to anyone under the age of 55! (meaning=boooring!!) A bit of advice for connie, Don't quit your day job!!

Review: Sisters & Lovers is very realistic, Connie's style is slow and easy, but she was right on with the siters. I found the relationship between them so true it was comical. They were so frank and somtimes hard on each other, but behind all of the differences they cared for each other. I was glad to see that the men in the lives of the three sisters, were not chasing other women and were not abusive. Kevin and Vernon did not handle old love interest in the best way, but they were both genuinely honest. Charmaine needed to kick Clarence to the curb. The ending was a little soft. I would have love to visit again with Vernon and Beverly. But I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I also read and enjoyed 'Big Girls Don't Cry'.

Review: Sisters and Lovers is a book that is close to my heart. I know people that could fit each character. It was a joy reading this book and I didn' t want it to end. The story held my interest until the end of the book. I love Connie's style of writing. I will be reading more Connie Briscoe books. Thumbs up!

Summary: She must have written this boook about my family.
Review: The way that the book is written is worded in a way where any individual who has ever been in love will be able to relate and understand exactly what she is talking about. I also love how no matter what happens in all of their lives they never forget that sisterhood comes first. Something that a lot of family members needs to remember, especially sisters. I look forward to the release of her next book.

Review: The writing overall was good, but the content of the book was tearing down the black man. I understand where the sisters in the book were coming from, but they made it seem that most black men are bad. With the exception of Kevin, Evelyn's husband, every man in the book was a nut case or just no good. The book could have been written better and showed more unity.

Summary: I laughed out loud!!
Review: This book held my attention for the entire 48 hours it took me to get through it all -- and I finished wanting more. I wanted to know what would happen next to the wonderful people in the story who seemed so much like many of my friends. I didn't want it to end. At various points throughout my reading, I could not believe I was laughing out loud at a book! I can't wait until Briscoe's next one
