Rating: Summary: Don't pay full price wait till it has Odd'Lot's cheap, cheap Review: Well I have read it. I can't beleive some of the things Hillary didn't shave her legs, Bill was so busy he got the rabbits beat in that department, how did he find time was all of it on tax-payers money. We footed the bill but I wasn't invited to a sit down dinner to see the roving seduction look. Put it in outter space for the alien's to read, or a time capasule, I am sure the other worlds will probably not even come close to matching it a lot things happen behind all closed doors.
Rating: Summary: The perfect pair, they truly deserve each other Review: Now that this book has revealed at least part of the truth about these two towering figures of American Pop Culture, I would just like to state the obvious; One will never go broke underestimating the "wisdom" of the "American People" having elected this "play""president" to a second term. Sycophants of the Democratic party unite, you have nothing to lose that your party hasn't already ruined or taxed to death.
Rating: Summary: Hearsay that is probably true.........sad and intriguing Review: I expect this book isn't entirely true.....but it is plausible and probably closer to the entire truth than we Americans are comfortable with. Yes, it's discomforting to think that "the most powerful man in the world" could be so out of control; however, i can't be so naive to think that these things couldn't of happened. Let's be truthful folks........this is a totally engrossing book, whether you're shocked or saddened by it, or both!
Rating: Summary: I am so embarressed and bitterly ashamed Review: So much truth, so little care. It amazes me how little attention we pay the daily news, the TV news, the radio, the President, members of Congress, the Senate, our own reason. We have known for years about Bill's attitude towards women, not the one he uses to campaign with, but the one he actually shows. Of the 47 reviews I read, 80% didn't like what they read. They attacked the writer as if he committed these acts. Shame on them. If you don't believe him, just use your own reason. Bill Clinton gets what he deserves. He actually gets something we all know he needs. Attention. Bill really doesn't care about the people who voted for him. His activities show his lack of commitment, personal integrity, or even awareness of the pain he has caused everyone in his life. I feel sorry for Chelsea. She didn't deserve this. Neither did you and I. If this book does one thing, it points out the need to know the man, not just the party.
Rating: Summary: Five stars for the book, not for Clinton... Review: Andersen leaves out nothing except how young Billy paid his Yale tuition. It is quite clear to me now how and why the President got away with infidelity in the White House. Readers will be interested in the Tyson-funding of Bill's early campaign, and the irony of how Watergate propelled this couple to the top of the heap. Andersen has uncovered every detail... Two questions remain: Where would Bill be without Hillary? And, more important, where COULD Hillary be without Bill?
Rating: Summary: Garbage for Sale. Don't buy it. Review: This book is startling in the degree of petty, vitriolic garbage it contains. I have unfortunately seen first hand how reporters can put words in people's mouths and call it journalism. What's more, even if this book were an exact recounting of the truth, the point is, there is simply no need for the public to know what goes on in the President's bedroom. Every American is entitled to privacy, including the residents of the White House. Any one who reads this should feel a prickle of shame; if not, there is a Jerry Springer show that would surely make better use of your time.
Rating: Summary: Not one I would give to a friend Review: This is gossip. This is like reading a new york city tabloid. This is like landing on a bike without a seat, it hurts. A book about the Clintons should talk about all the components of the marriage, not just the sleeze. i know its hard for those right wingers to believe, but it is well documented that there is more to the Clinton marriage than sex, power, and partnership---save your time, save your money, there will be other books that will do justice to the clinton marriage --at least I hope there will.
Rating: Summary: Great Role Models Review: Bill & Hillary are such great role models. I wish my marriage was as wonderful as theirs. Conservatives just don't get it! These two people just want to serve our country. Besides, I enjoy giving 45% of my paycheck to the government.
Rating: Summary: The Reviewers Rule! Review: I hated the book - but I loved the reviews on this page! What else can I say. This page is just too much! But you folks really do say it all, well except for the communist who wrote some odd things, but otherwise I thought you all were right on the money. THis book really is silly, so the page of reviews might as well be just as silly. I give this page 5 stars!!!! I book gets one. I can't believe I only gave the book one star. I mean I normally feel bad about stuff like that. I even gave Ishtar two stars when that came out - same with Eyes Wide Shut, and that movie was the pits, so I guess what I am trying to say is that I didn't like the book - but what a page!
Rating: Summary: A great look at what really happens on the inside. Review: This book was well written and easy to read. Although Bill and Hillary generally repulse me as liars and cons, for the first time I felt sympathy for Hillary. While it still greatly concerns me that she believes she is the real President and that she is so much "smarter than the rest of us", I at least got the impression that she was more honest than "slick willie". Had Bill not been such a goof-up, they could have made it to the top and become the first couple . . . . er . . .- whatever. My point is, this could have been a great presidency, but his true colors came shining through. This is a good read no matter what your politics.
