Rating: Summary: New to Psych Books Review: This book is truly intriguing. I have never been an avid psychological thriller reader, but Ablow crafts his characters with such intensity that you find yourself identifying with both the serial killer and the man out to find him. Jonah Wrens (the killer) is more fascinating than Hannibal Lector in the movie Silence of the Lambs (I admittingly have yet to read the novel). He's an unpredictable killer and yet also a gifted healer. The dichotomy of his character leaves you almost sympathizing with him until he kills another innocent victim. Yet Ablow gives Clevenger, the protagonist, real problems of his own, as if to discourage the reader from cheering for him. I have been the Ablow's website ...and plan on reading his other novels - Ablow has converted me to a mystery reader!
Rating: Summary: Top Notch Thriller From Start to Finish Review: This books grabs ahold of you and doesn't let go. Dr. Jonah Wrens is a locum tenens (travelling psychiatrist) who works miracles with patients. On the outside, he's a calm and well respected doctor but on the inside he's a psychopath that wants to be stopped. While travelling from state to state, he leaves a trail of bodies in his wake. Picking up the pieces is Dr. Frank Clevenger, a forensic psychiatrist. Communicating through the New York Times, Clevenger tries to saves Jonah before he kills more.
Rating: Summary: Ablow Delivers!!!!!!!!! Review: This is my first Frank Clevenger (Keith Ablow) novel and so far I am VERY impressed. This novel is quite a unique murder thriller. A very different but pleaseing "villian". Keith Ablow shine!!!!!!!!!! I hope to see no less from his other novels....

Rating: Summary: Ablow has done it again Review: This is the second book I have read by Keith Ablow. I enjoyed this one much more than Compulsion. The lead character is the same, but he has matured into a great "hero". The cat and mouse played out between the psychiatrist and the serial killer shows that we might all be just a little bit psycho. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes medical thrillers or mysteries.
Rating: Summary: Riveting Review: While there were a few flaws or weaknesses this time - some letters fictionally published in the "New York Times" contained language that I doubt the Times would have accepted under any circumstances, as well as a disappointing lack of character development of supporting character North Anderson - this novel still emerged as my favorite thriller so far this year (with Lee Child maintaining a close second). As other reviewers have noted, forensic psychiatrist Frank Clevenger seems to have quelled many of his personal demons this outing. Just in time to meet up with a character who may prove to be his opposite number. After this, what remains? One could only fantasize of having Ablow & Harris team-up and allow Clevenger & Lector to cross paths.
