Summary: The perfect science fiction
Review: I bought this Captain Nemo novel a few years ago in Chicago and thought nothing of it, until recently. It seems my fifteen year old nephew was visiting from New York and he had his own copy and a copy of the audiobook. Over spring break we got into a discussion about this continuation of the Jules Verne character. My nephew loved the giant Blue Whales like Goliath and the image of the underwater cavern. We also like the telepathic powers and the connection Nemo had with Boondi and Beelzebub. This author has also placed a wonderful love story between Ari and Vawn, as well as Nemo and Sherry Lynn. My nephew and I compared this to a lady friend I had in Chicago. Her career took her to the other side of the world and I stayed here. Nemo and Ari are creatures of the sea, Vawn and Sherry Lynn are from the land. Another element we talked about was redemption and good verses evil. Uriah is an exceptional fanatic who wishes to take control of everything his brother, Captain Nemo, has discovered and created. My nephew and I compared this novel to works by Shakespeare and we came up with many similarities in this authors style of writing. We noticed there is a sequel to Captain Nemo and we both look forward to reading the next novel together.

Summary: Excellent science fiction fun!
Review: My friends and I are working on Jules Verne for our writing class. We read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World in Eighty Days. We were very excited about this new Captain Nemo. My teacher also is having us read Mysterious Island. My teacher also loves Jules Verne and he listened to part of this audiobook and he ordered his own copy. What we all liked the most was the science of the oceans and how Captain Nemo used those sciences. Captain Nemo also has a great crew like Sonja and Ari. We liked the sea creatures with the ESP powers and the story of good verses evil. This would be a cool comic book or movie.

Summary: A modern day Homer's Odyessy!
Review: Love lost. Fearless moments of doubt and pain. The magic and the mystery of the deep blue sea. A scientist who may think he needs to save the world with his new found friend Captain Don Quixote. I have read science fiction, fantasy for almost fifty years and I have to say this Captain Nemo by Xavier Carbajal is a remarkable treasure. Colorful characters like Jackie and Dr. Yang, brilliant women, a mix of international secret societies and a powerful ensemble of magnificent sea creatures, all wrapped up in an underwater journey make for a page-turning story. I also loved the audiobook.

Summary: Cool! Hip! Ahead of its time!
Review: I'm a DJ at high school and I played the audiobook version of Captain Nemo for the school and they loved it. We are going to play 20 minutes a week. A bunch of students came by and are doing papers on Jules Verne. They think this is a happening audiobook. Some guys said it was like Blade or Batman. That it had this kind of aura about it. My class read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea last year. It was cool. We could identify with Captain Nemo. But! We all think this sequel is even hotter! This Mr. Carbajal wrote some other cool stuff. I'm putting a website together and my buddy and I are going to start a live talkshow about books, movies and television. Captain Nemo is definately on our list.

Summary: Wow! A great sequel to 20,000 Leagues and Mysterious Island!
Review: I never liked the ending to Mysterious Island and I liked how this author brought Captain Nemo back into the future. My book club loved the book and the book on cassettes. I listen to about fifty books on tape or CD a year and I must admit this is one of the best. I like the way the reader takes you into the mind of Captain Nemo. Back when I was a kid I would read Jules Verne and see all the movies. I would also read those Classic comic books. This has that kind of feel to it. Just the idea of being on the Nautilus made a bunch of us feel like kids again. We hope to see a sequel soon with Uriah and Kronos. This is truly an exciting addition to the Jules Verne legacy. Jules Verne would be pleased.

Summary: Very cool and exciting for kids!!!!!!
Review: My friends and I are doing a school project on books that were made into movies and we are comparing certain characters. My brothers read this Captain Nemo book and let me use the book on cassettes. My friends and I think this is a great story. We like the idea of the women in this story. We like the idea of the different people on Captain Nemos submarines from different countries and nationalities. We watched 20,000 Leagues under the sea and read the book. We liked the idea of Captain Nemos love for the oceans. I will be working with my school radio station next year and I will do more reviews of books, movies and tv shows. This Captain Nemo is liked by some boys and girls in my school who like science. We think this would be a good cartoon for Saturday mornings.

Summary: An exciting and fun adventure! This Captain Nemo is tops!
Review: I am retired and I have loved Jules Verne ever since I saw 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mysterious Island. My brother and I are retired and we belong to a book club. We read this Captain Nemo and listened to the audiobook. A bunch of us agree this Xavier Carbajal author has taken the Captain Nemo character to a new level... The great thing this author did was he took Captain Nemo back to being a scientist and unlocked the mystery of the ocean. Even though the audiobook was a bit different we still liked the music and the special effects. It sounded like we were on the Nautilus and Captain Nemo's other submarines. We noticed there was supposed to be a sequel. Hurry up! I'm almost seventy. I want to know what happens next.

Summary: Captain Nemo is great science fiction and science fun!!
Review: My friends and I loved this book because we could follow the Nautilus using a globe. We liked all the cool places Captain Nemo and his crew went. We also learned about the differences between the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. We like all the giant sea monsters too. They didn't seem like kid stuff. We also like the idea Captain Nemo was a scientist. We like science and we liked the idea Captain Nemo and his crew were very educated. My sister likes Sonja. We drew a bunch of pictures of Goliath and Brutus. This is a good book for educating kids.

Summary: A great science fiction fanstasy
Review: Captain Nemo is fantastic! My friends and my older brother like this Captain Nemo legacy very much. Even my dad likes this he said he had to read Jules Verne in school. My friends and I like Harry Potter, The Mummy and Lord of the Rings because they told god stories. This book and aubiobook tell a good story. We are doing papers in school and think this is good. My older brother, Scott, said this Captain Nemo would make a cool movie. I think so too because of all the submarines and sea monsters. I talked to my librarian and she said she will order Captain Nemo for our library for other kids to enjoy things about the oceans and far away places.

Summary: Excellent and a wild approach to the Jules Verne classic!
Review: My class is doing book reports on writers. My friends and I chose Jules Verne and we must say this Captain Nemo is vivid and wild. The descriptions of the far away islands and underwater worlds are brilliant. We have the book and the audiotape, each one is exceptionally smashing. Uriah, Kronos and his pirates make for very exciting bad guys. Captain Nemo and his crew are also remarkable. We also like the music and the little audio touches, it really brings life to this wonderful adventure. We do hope to see a return of this Captain Nemo. As well as Ari, Sonja and Captain Riley.
