Summary: Experience the miracle of giving in your life.
Review: Based on events in my grandmother's childhood, The Little Red Buckets is a treasured family story that will inspire and motivate its readers to enrich their lives through giving to others. I wrote this heartwarming story in the hope that families would be able to sit down and read it together. I have found that its timeless message touches readers both male and female, young and old--anyone with a heart that still believes in the miracle of giving. I hope it will touch you and your family, too.

Summary: The BEST audio book I've ever found.
Review: EXCELLENT rendition of a particularly moving and inspiring book. The use of multiple voices and special sound effects made me feel I had truly moved into the story and lived it right along with the characters. I highly recommend this for family members of all ages. Truly a tradition that will span the years.

Summary: Guardian Angels
Review: I read this book front to back when I started. It reminded me so much of stories I have been told by my own grandmother. Things are so different in the world today. Caring and kindness are present, but not as much a part of our daily lives as it used to be when people had to depend on their neighbors for survival during hard times. I loved the story. It makes me look at every angel I see a little bit closer!

Review: In a world sometimes starved for the simplest things, Lynda M. Nelson's _The Little Red Buckets_ is a beautiful expression of what holds people up, what holds them together, and what helps them hold on during times of pain. Set in a mining cabin, contained in a single afternoon's tender conversation between and grandmother and a child, the story is a celebration of simplicity--of the simple, sincere life, of acts of kindness and neighborliness and love, and of the shine of hope in darkness.

Grandma Jenny and Sarah are baking bread. While the dough raises, Grandma Jenny snuggles Sarah in her lap and tells the story of the little lard pails that sit high on a shelf in the kitchen. Sarah, naturally, loves her grandmother's stories--and so will you, as she tells how the simple, common, but precious buckets brought miracles into lives, and led her to a miracle of her own.

_The Little Red Buckets_ is a wonderful, inspiring read, the kind of book I love to give as a gift.

Summary: Get a Hanky!
Review: The Little Red Buckets is a wonderful tale with all the makings of a traditional Christmas reading. The heart-warming story starts out with grandmother Jenny and her granddaughter Sarah making bread. Grandmother decides to tell a story about two red buckets and a Christmas day she has never forgotten. The story goes back to the early 1900's and to Grandma Jenny's family farm. She tells of her parents, her sister Zella, and her brother Ralph, their life on the farm, how they helped an elderly couple that lived near them, their family Christmas traditions, and one special Christmas.

The story flows effortlessly. The family is compassionate and memorable. The story as a whole is a memorable experience. I was so touched by story I told everyone I knew to consider it for a Christmas read. The book it's self is beautifully created with an attractive dustcover, and the small hardback edition is perfect for those small hands. It's a story for all ages and I truly believe grown ups will be just as blessed by it as the children.
