Rating: Summary: Misleading Title Review: A better title for this book/audio book would be "101 Tips for Cheapskates" as that would be more representative of the contents discussed. Ms. Gabriel's primary message is that you can become debt free in 5 years or less by applying various cheapskate techniques. Additionally, much of the time of the audio version is spent by the author referring the listener to read the book taking away from her opportunity to present more content of the book on the audio version. No need to listen to this audio book a second time.

Rating: Summary: Great and informative! Review: Gwen did a great job of making budgeting money interesting. She enlightens and gives readers very useful suggestions on effective money management and how to become debt-free. Being one of the first to read this book was a pleasure!
Rating: Summary: If you have "real life" issues, skip this book. Review: I have been purchasing many books recently on eliminating debt. This book is by far the most worthless of them all and not worth a dollar, much less nearly 13. All of the so called techniques are beyond obvious and do not help anyone with "real life" issues. We all know that bringing a sandwich instead of going out to lunch is cheaper. How about real techniques?
Rating: Summary: Start saving by not buying this book! Review: I have read a lot of books about debt recovery, personal finances, budgeting, and saving, and this book has been by far the worst. To begin with, regardless of how the title sounds, the author doesn't actually give any tips for how to organize or budget in order to reduce the debt that you currently have. The book is basically a list of money saving tips, which would be fine if the tips were useful and applicable to ones daily life. Unfortunately those that Ms. Gabriel shares are neither. Her tips range from ultra-restrictive suggestions such as never go into a mall or retail store again to tips that would only apply to specific and seldom occuring (at least I hope) situations such as decide not to get tattoos or don't throw lavish funerals for your loved ones to just down right impractical suggestions such as move in with family or friends for a year and rent out your house so that you can double what you are paying on your mortgage. If you are looking for a book of practical, manageable money saving tips that you can apply to your everyday life then this is definitely not that book.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful "Debt-Free" Book Review: I have read this book from cover to cover and I believe this is the most wonderful financial book that I have ever read. One of the greatest things about this book is that it is organized in such a manner that I can reference back to any money-saving idea I need to know about at the moment, without re-reading the whole book. I also love this book because the author appears to be a regular person who was in debt and wrote about how she got out--now she's helping others by the use of her book. I would love to meet this author because she seems down-to-earth and has already helped me reconsider the way I look at money. As a result, I have already cut up two of my six credit cards, made many other money-saving improvements and I am on my way to becoming debt-free. Gosh, I love this book.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book - I refer to it daily!!! Review: I purchased this book a little over two years ago when I first saw the author on television. Since then, my husband and I have referred to it daily to find ways to save money. If we keep it up, we should be out of debt in two more years. So, we both think that this is the best book that we have ever read about getting out of debt. If this author puts out a second edition, we hope to be the first to buy it. Thank you author for writing such a wonderful book!!!
