Rating: Summary: Good book Review: I thought this was a good book and that a lot of teen girls can relate to Georgia in some kind of way. The book was very funny, and i couldn't put it down. I thought it was a lot like Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding.
Rating: Summary: laughing so hard that you'll pee your pants! Review: this may be one of the funnyiest books that i've ever read! seriously! i tried several times to read it at school but i was laughing too hard. the characters aren't very loveable, and there isn't the best plot line but the hillariosity of the book makes up for all that and more. my favorite character was definetly sphen, is he in this book? i can't remember, but he's definatly in the second book! oh jah! i have read "angus, thongs and full frontal snooging" at least five times and i still get weird looks for laughing so hard. i highly recomend this book to anyone and everyone, unless your one of those people who doesn't think sarcasm is funny. people like you don't deserve to read this book! oh jah!
Rating: Summary: Thongalicious Review: This book is about an English teenage girl who tells about her current life. She tells of boyfriends, her experience with thongs, and her enraged attack-cat, Angus. Through the course of the book, she tells of troubles with friends, and of course, family. This book is a non-stop, page turner. From beginning to end, the almost hypnotic writing style of Louise Rennison keeps one riveted. This is truly a comedic piece of literature, and is a must for all teenagers.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Book! Review: There aren't many books that I read and find myself actually laughing out loud, but this was one of them. It's a hilarious book about British schoolgirls through the diary of Georgia Nicolson who keeps an up-to-the-minute account of her life. She has crazy parents, a cat named Angus who terrorizes the neighborhood, a sister, Libby, who generally makes a mess and is annoying and a whole load of friends at her all-girls school. This is a definately good read. I enjoyed it immensely.
Rating: Summary: Georgia Nicolson Couldn't Be Funnier ! : ) Review: This is the first installment of the series of books about Georgia Nicolson. She is a British teen and has very little confidence in herself, yet is very vain. At the beginning of the book she is trying to help her friend Jas hook up with a boy who works at a market whose name is Tom. Then she sees a Sex God come out of the back room and is immediately in love with him. She spends the next couple of months trying to get his attention and hook up with him. Meanwhile, her cat Angus is terrorizing the neighborhood, her parents are practically insane, her little sister Libby is grosing her out by not wearing her diapers (nap-naps) right and hiding her knickers in Georgia's bed, her school is like torture, and her friends are completely mindless and stupid. But this all makes for an extremely funny plot that you could almost die of laughing. Oh, and by the way, her cousin is also trying to make moves on her and get with her, in a perverted way. Yes, this is Georgia's life.
Rating: Summary: Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging Review: Louise Rennison, tells a story of a teenager named Georgia, she is 14 years old growing up in England. She is now in the stage of going to school and guys (which is a big problem.) This chick flick novel is for ages twelve and up. This story is from the view of Georgia; it is kind of like an autobiography because she uses the author uses the word "I" when she speaks for Georgia. Anyways, Georgia's dad is unable to get a job in England so he goes to New Zealand to search there. Georgia is going through a lot of changes in her life and it is really hard if she has to move to New Zealand, she now has tickets to New Zealand for the next day. Georgia is mad that she has to go to New Zealand because she doesn't want to loose her friends and soon to be new boyfriend Robbie. Find out what happens in "Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging", and "On the Bright Side I am now a Girlfriend of A Sex God." I guarantee you will enjoy these two amazing, exciting, and adventurous novels.
Rating: Summary: A great book...for youthful adults too... Review: This book is great for adults as well as teens. It reminds you of how much you loathed yet loved your family during those awkward years as you struggled to define yourself through your relationships. Georgia is completely believable and a well rounded young lady trying to make sense of the world she is in.
Rating: Summary: The True Confessions of Georgia Nicolson Review: The book is about the "confessions of Georgia Nicolson," a girl from England, who keeps a day to day, and sometimes minute to minute, diary which covers all the joy and mishaps she experiences when she's fourteen years old. We find out about her cat, Angus, which has grown up "to be the size of a small Labrador, only mad," (who loves to stalk the neighbor's poodle) and has "Call of the Wild" episodes where he attacks people's ankles (she still has the scars to prove it). Her little sister, Libby, is only three and likes to leave little "surprises" (wet nappies) in Georgia's room. Libby also smells a bit "hamsterish," but Georgia still loves her. Georgia's parents are like everyone else. Her dad's clueless, still treats her like a child, and has the "mentality of a Teletubby, only not so developed," and her mom tries to avoid looking her own age. Georgia goes from one hilarious situation to another. She tries to pluck her eyebrows, but that turns out disastrous, ("I obviously have to stay at home forever"), she practices kissing with a boy, Peter, who gives lessons to anyone between 3:00 and 6:30 p.m. (before his parents come home from work), and she falls in love with Robbie, who she thinks is a Sex God ("SG for short"). Unfortunately, he's dating someone else (who puts pink rubbery things inside her bra and wears a thong). Her friends and teachers at the "all girl school" she attends, keeps you laughing from one chapter to another. The great thing about the book is that there's Georgia's glossary at the back that gives the definitions of the slang she uses, which is just as funny as the rest of the book. Her definition of "full-frontal snogging" is "kissing with all the trimmings...". I don't want to give away any thing else, so I'm going to let you read the book to find out more. Needless to say, I loved the book and I hope you do, too.
Rating: Summary: A HELLA GOOD BOOK!!! Review: This book wuz hella funny. it's about a girl called georgia nicolson hoo is in high school and is trying 2 get robbie, the Sex God, 2 ask her out. it talks about her going 2 frenching lessons, then having her 'teacher' french her at a party. and then she frenches other 'mysterious ppl' who u'll just have 2 reed da book 2 find out.
Rating: Summary: The Best Diary Ever Written Review: Although this diary is a little slower in the beggining than I usually like, once the story unfolded, it became an easy read full of humor and emotion. You will laugh, cry, and be thankful that your life isn't like Georgia's. If you are having trouble understanding some of the British "lingo" used in the book, there is a glossary in the back of the book to help you.
