Rating: Summary: Absolutely a MUST read! Review: I can not praise this book enough. What a hilarious read. I read it all in one day. I simply could not put it down. One laugh after another, and the end had me in tears. What a terrific book.
Rating: Summary: Double Cool with knobs! Review: I got this book, as a do many others because of the title and the cover. They both intregued me. And well the intrugue didn't stop there! This book is full of surprises. As Georgia, the main character would say, the book was "Double cool with knobs!" If you are not English and don't get most of the slang in this book it is ok! The wonderful creator of this book Louise Rennison, kindly puts a Glossary in the back of the book to explain most of the unfamiliar words. Altogether this book was awsome. I read it in about 4 hours. Not that it's small. But you will deffinatly not be able to put it down. Terrific Summer reading, and as Seventeen Magizine said, "Not something that you would want to read in public!" Trust me, you'll be laughing too hard. Worth the investment! 110%
Rating: Summary: It's a great laugh! Review: This book is a great laugh, even if you aren't from England, tons of girls can relate to stuff in this book and that's what makes it so funny. I would recommend it for 12 and over.
Rating: Summary: Working its way through the neighborhood Review: Extremely funny. I bought this for my 15 year old, then read it myself after she finished. The writer is British, so some of the slang is different (which the character explains, in her own special teenybopper style), but the mind and the talk is that of my daughter. She loaned the book to the kid up the street, who loaned it to another kid. Now they are quoting from it. Clearly, a hit.
Rating: Summary: Funny, original, and fully satisfying! Review: I was having trouble making it through any books I was trying to read, I think it was burnout from all the forced reading my english teacher was making me do...but anyway a friend of mine was reading this book and read me this funny part and I knew I had to check it out. It was excellent, i couldn't put it down!
Rating: Summary: A Delicious Read! Review: This book will have you laughing and crying along with the main character,Georgia, even if you aren't as obsessed with boys, makeup, etc. Any girl can identify very closely with Georgia. This book is great for girls 12 to 17 years old, and older readers will get a kick out of it too: It's funny and fun to read.
Rating: Summary: You'll be laughing untilit hurts! Review: Angus, Thongs and FFS is one of the funniest books I have read. Georgia is a character ful of natural wit and humor. I reccommend this book to anyone who loves a laugh.A book to read over and over again. Don't read this one in public because you'll be laughing out loud! Be sure to read the golssary first if you're not familiar with the british vocab.
Rating: Summary: funniest book i've read Review: This book is so funny . It's about a girl who has average teenager problems.
Rating: Summary: Very Funny Review: This is a amazingly funny book. I kept laughing out loud. You can't help it. Some parts a bit hard to understand since it is an English book but the dictonary at the back really is helpful and I used it alot. Its just a crazy diary of a girl who is living her life. Whether its dealing with her (very funny) little sister, crazy cat, boys, or wondering whether she is gay, it keeps on going. I highly suggest it for those who want to have a good laugh.
Rating: Summary: Extremely realistic and believeable Review: Reading this book and getting to know the main character, Georgia Nicolson, is almost like making a new friend; Louise Rennison's character is very believeable! Georgia's entertaining, well-timed, and often extremely hilarious thoughts make up this lively and unusual book. Though it has plenty of English slang, it comes with a helpful glossary at the back. This book will have readers wanting to read more about Georgia - good thing there's a sequel!
