Summary: Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging
Review: This is a very good book. It is a book about a girl named Georgia. She falls gaga over a boy named Robbie, who she calls the Sex God. SG is tall and handsome. The only reason why Georgia is having trouble catching SG is becuase he is three grades above her.
If you have ever read Hello, God It's me Margrete by Judy Blume then you know the humor I am mentioning. The humor in the book is very strong, some of the jokes make you laugh out loud. It is one of the funniest books I have read.
I highly suggest this book for a good laugh.

Summary: Full-Frontal review
Review: Angus Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging was a great read. I think this is a great book for teenage girls to read because they would understand what the authors insight was. This book is about a teenage girl named Georgia who lives in London. It talks about all the things a teenage girl goes through like relationships, family ,ect. I gave it five stars because I couldn't put the book down. If you get the opportunity to read this book I recommend that you do so.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I noticed some similiarities between Georgia and I(which kinda' scared me but made it even funnier in a odd sort of way). Anyway I have never laughed while reading a book but this book had me practically in tears laughing so hard. You will not be dissapionted. Enjoy!

Summary: Oh, the hilariosity!
Review: OK, I admit it. I'm an adult. I am a veteran middle school teacher who caught sight of the bright cover of this book when it was on a student's desk. I was intrigued when I saw the title, so I asked to borrow the book. I laughed my knickers off and am now addicted to Rennison's humor. I have read each of these books and will read anything else I can find by this author. I have a friend hooked as well, and her daughters, 11 and 14, are enjoying the books with her.

Anyone who has survived the age of 15 will appreciate Georgia's tales of friendship, boyfriends, and bravely coping with pathetic parents who are embarassingly out of touch (her father's wardrobe is "tragic"). As funny as the book is, the "glossary" is even more amusing, since Georgia finds herself at a loss to explain why those of us in Hamburger-a-gogo land use words such as "bangs" and "restroom" instead of the more obvious "fringe" and "loo".

All of us will remember being this self-centered and ridden with angst. We just didn't have Georgia's wisdomosity.

Which is a shame.

Truly.

Review: I LOVED this book. I've read it several times! I now derive about half of my slang vocabulary from it!

Summary: too much hype - too much disappointment
Review: I heard about this book from a YA librarian. She called it the "Bridget Jones" for teens. I share that sentiment, but not with the same enthusiasm with which it was presented. Georgia is as shallow as Bridget but without the years of expereince to make her this way. I don't think she is a positive role model for young girls. The book is fun and mildly entertaining but completely disposable. I suggest young women read Speak instead.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: Everyone I know just raves about this book. After one person read it, they would pass it on to another and before long, there was a long waiting list between my friends for who would borrow the book next. I went to the local library to borrow this book and all of seven copies they had were out. So, finally, I went to a local book store and bought the last copy they had. And, I must say, all the hustle to read the book was well worth it. It's hilariously fabulous and keeps you reading after every entry. It's just wonderful

Summary: A Truly Enjoyable Teen Novel
Review: Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging caught me completely off guard. First of all, I thought the title was kind of odd and I wasn't really sure what I was in for, since I haven't read a teen novel in a good while and this novel happened to come from England. But author Louise Rennison captures my attention with this hilarious novel that is about the life of a fourteen year old British girl. Georgia Nicholson is a bit of a change from the other teen heroines presented is other novels. She's vapid, selfish, and is concerned mostly on her appearance. She lives in a dysfunctional household with a cat who is in need of barbiturates, a little sister who hides her dirty diapers everywhere, and parents who she wishes she was never related to.

The big highlight of this book is that it's funny, one of the funniest books that I have read in a long time. Rennison pumps a lot of life into her character through her unique brand of humor. Weather Georgia is failing at trying to nab the boy of her dreams or is getting yelled at by her school headmistress, she gets through her troubled teenage life with her own little inside jokes and a little reflection in her diary. This book is fresh, funny and is a great story for any teenager to read. You can find some way to connect to Georgia, no matter which country you come from.
