Rating: Summary: Witty, Funny, and Brutally Truthful Review: I am a loyal fan of Dennis Miller Live on HBO, and never miss an episode. When I found out that he had written a book, I quickly got to my local book store and picked it up, Ranting Again. I wondered why it was Ranting AGAIN, and then I found out that he had written yet another book before that. I haven't yet picked up The Rants, but if it is anywhere near as funny as this book, I know I'll enjoy. This book was hiliarious, and Miller's language and vocabulary are always amusing. A great read for anyone in need of some humor and painful honesty. An Eye Opener!!!
Rating: Summary: Interesting and insightful. Review: I just finished reading this book and have to say that it (just like his previous one) was quite insightful and informative. Dennis Miller no doubt is very intelligent and has interesting views. I do admit that he does seem to be very cynical, but I think that most people are (there's nothing wrong with that). He discusses myriad topics in this book (everything from smoking to UFOs). I personally agree with a lot of what he talks about--he really makes you think. I've always thought that he's one of the best out there. This isn't one of my favorite books, but it no doubt is good and is a satisfying read. Give it a shot and you'll learn something.

Rating: Summary: Annoying, Very Annoying...But Not Funny Review: I love Dennis Miller. He used to be a blast on Saturday Night Live, with his quirky sense of humor. But, "Ranting Again" is a total misfire. The usual stand-up comic subjects are covered: single life, politics, feminism, driving in L.A., therapy, etc.I bought this as the 3-CD comedy album, and it has one fatal flaw. It's not funny. In my hours of listening, I think I had a genuine chuckle, but not a laugh out loud har-har. If you want to get depressed about the state of driving, relations between the sexes, politics or any of the other myriad of subjects covered by Miller, buy this now! Otherwise, skip it and find something funny to buy.
Rating: Summary: This is what passes for sharp, sophisticated humor? Review: I managed about 5 pages before the incessant, whiney, self-rightous ranting made me put it down. This isn't a particularly funny book. If you liked Miller on SNL, you'd probably like this book. Of course, you'd probably also like watching car wrecks.
Rating: Summary: Miller still has it!!! Review: If you like 'The Rants', you will hurt yourself laughing if you read Miller's new one! It's funnier because he goes a little more in depth in some key areas...you'll see.
Rating: Summary: Very disappointed! Review: If you like people like Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, and Robin Williams. This 3 CD set is NOT for you. If you enjoy a belly full of laughs, this 3 CD set is NOT for you. However if you enjoy real life situations with a touch of profanity to make you laugh and your IQ is below 80 then this 3 CD set IS for you.
Rating: Summary: Miller Is The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived - 5 Stars!!!! Review: In "Ranting", Dennis Miller once again proves that he is the funniest, most insightful man to walk the earth since the messiah. Miller's brutal observations on the human condition are not for the faint of heart. His scatalogical references to such minor relics of American pop culture as "Josie and the Pussycats", Dr. Bellows from "I Dream of Jeanie" and the Starland Vocal Band leave the reader feeling a sence of purposelessness in the shadow of this brilliant social commentator. My God, he is so brilliant! And, alas, I am capable of little more than counting the change required to pay for his book, which will surely go down in history as the most enlightening document ever produced by mankind. Let us all bow at the feet of Miller, for he knows things that we could never even imagine.
Rating: Summary: Dennis Miller hits the nail on the head once again. Review: In a world full of synics Dennis Miller reigns as King. His insightful and painfully acurate views on everything from politics to our country's eating habits hit home. Who would have thought that ranting could be raised to such an artform. Kudos to you Dennis and the publishers willing to stick their necks out so that we the humble public can share your frustrations.
Rating: Summary: Funny, funny book Review: Miller has written a great book that is packed with laughs and commentary. It's better than his first book, Rants, because he mostly (and mercifully) stays away from the extremely obscure pop culture references.
