Rating: Summary: The funniest piece of literature you will ever read......... Review: Dennis Miller Hits the nail on the head in Ranting Again. Not only is the book laugh out loud hilarious, but also educational and thought provoking. Only Dennis Miller can take current social and political issues and, through harsh but almost poetic wording and decorative expletives, turn them into a riotous rant. Furthermore, you cannot argue his point of view. His rants are well rounded and touch on every argument until you have to admit that he has a point. In conlusion, for an absolutely hilarious book that also really makes you think, accept no substitute!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: Dennis Miller is definately one of the funniest men alive, and his second book proves it again. A bunch of his best rants (many of which are from last season's shows) are contained within. My favorites are White People, Smoking, Hype, and Are Movies Getting Worse?Of course that's my opinion, I could be wrong.
Rating: Summary: Annoying, Very Annoying...But Not Funny Review: Dennis Miller is either a love him or hate him kind of guy. I find his commentary brilliant and incisive. If you love his brand of humor, I would snap this book up. If you don't like him...go ahead; give him a try again...you know you want to! This is one of the few books that I consistantly laugh out loud while reading, but it does give you pause to think. (Those who say smoking won't kill you are lying through the hole in their trachea) I find that social commentary delivered with a good dose of humor often is the best way to make ones point without seeming preachy. Miller is the King of this arena. He definitely understands the workings of American society, warts and all, and can absolutely hit the nail on the head every time. This is a book that manages to deftly walk the fine line of making you think AND entertaining you.

Rating: Summary: Great Book, But Get the Audio Version First Review: Dennis Miller is one of the funniest comics in the last ten to twenty years with a unique style and a keen knowledge of the issues of the day. Both the Rants and Ranting Again are excellent books, but I also bought both in audio cassette to get that classic Miller delivery style and found those utterly more satisfying. I personally would recommend the purchase of the audio version first. You'll not get every rant that is published in the book (there's about five or six that are not included on the tape), but the pleasure of hearing Miller deliver his own lines is well worth the loss. I'd later buy the paperbacks to get the rest of the material.
Rating: Summary: Pay Your Writers ROYALTIES Review: Dennis Miller takes a lot of credit for his rants despite the fact that he has a staff of writers. These rants are lifted from his HBO show and lost most of their intensity in printed form. It does give you a chance to test the integrity of many of his obscure references (calling Dice Clay's profanity "innocuous" is just one of many of Den-den's pretentious mistakes), but it's often hard to figure out what he's really ranting about. Dennis Miller is the most insecure man in showbiz and his constant barrage of obscure references is his way of trying to tell you that he's smarter, more informed and more righteous than anyone else in the world. As he ages, he's becoming more convinced of his own talent, despite all the mounting evidence that he's completely delusional. If you ask me, Bill Hicks said it best about Dennis Miller and all other former comics who've gone on to whore out their talents to the advertising industry: YOU DO A COMMERCIAL ENDORSEMENT, YOU'RE OFF THE ARTISTIC ROLL CALL FOREVER. End of story.
Rating: Summary: Road Hazard Review: DO NOT listen to the audio tape "Ranting Again" while driving or you may end up in the next rant. Dennis would undoubtedly have something scathing to say about the idiot swerving through traffic because they're laughing too hard to get oxygen into their lungs.
Rating: Summary: Miller at his sardonic and sarcastic best!! Review: From beginning to end, Dennis Miller is brilliant! His sarcastic-eye view of the world as we know it and he sees it is total brutal brilliance!!
Rating: Summary: A very funny comic,a very funny book... Review: Hello, this book is an assortment of Rants from Dennis Miller's award winning show. This is sort of a sequel book and it is equaly as funny as the first. In the book there are some very funny and very serious thoughts shared by Miller. He has the right idea with some of the subject matter. All I can say is if you enjoy his show, and just want to remember waht he said, read this book. Well that is it. Good Day...
Rating: Summary: Funny Stuff Review: I admit that I am a recent convert to Dennis Miller's style of humor....after seeing and listening to him express his support of our troops I thought to myself "maybe I was a bit hasty in my judgement". So I bought this book and read it in one night laughing out loud numerous times at his take on contemporary life and his inventive similes. So if Dennis can forgive me for prejudging him I can forgive him for Monday Night football and continue to enjoy his other books.
