Summary: Good but take your time with it.
Review: A decent effort by Dennis. The first book was better, but then again most sequals usually don't have the push that the original did. I have to say I agreed with about 90% of his rants, and if you loved him on SNL you'll like him here. But my advice to readers is treat the book as if you would his show; as you're watching the show once a week... read a rant once a week. He tends to make the same references over and over (like Luciano Pavoratti for instance) that one would miss when seeing him only once a week, but get bored of easily as you read rant after rant on a lazy sunday afternoon.

Summary: Funny, but unsatisfying
Review: After reading "Rants", I thought that this book would be even better. Not true. While this is a worthwhile read, I would suggest reading "Rants" first. In this book, he uses a lot of the same jokes in different rants and they're just not as funny as the ones from the previous book.

Summary: Dennis For President!
Review: After seeing all the five star reviews, I feel cruel giving Dennis only four, but I'm basing it on two things: 1) the original rants went after tougher targets, whereas by Ranting Again, Dennis is relegated to such run of the mill topics as Bad Drivers and Parenthood.

However, whether he's talking Politics or Parenting, nobody aims for the cranium like Dennis.

Reason #2 for the slighted review is that the references are starting to repeat themselves too much. Pavorotti appears in this book as often as Holden Caufield appeared in "Catcher in the Rye". Still, one can hardly fault Dennis for trying to raise the stakes in a world of comedy where Sinbad sells books and Carrot Top is King.

Dennis talks about what matters, and he sheds common sense light no matter what the subject.

For me, Dennis would do a damn fine job leading our nation. He would disagree, but he makes more sense than any candidate I've heard from in ages. And you know what? I believe he means what he says. That's another one he's got over our leaders.

Summary: Okay but structured
Review: Although Miller is at His satirical best; His structured delivery on every subject starts to get boring halfway through the book.He injects different celebrities in the same old spots and it becomes a mantra after awhile.'I dont want to rant but Dennis baby, find a new free form formula!"

Summary: Just his opinion!!
Review: As a huge fan of Dennis Miller both on "Weekend Update" and "Dennis Miller Live" I have to say that this book is as good as "Ranting". I like the rant about Bad Drivers, Single Life, and Smoking. I don't smoke or anything, but I like what he says about it. It's all true. Just proof that anyone's opinion, no matter how whacked out, is always good for a laugh. But of course, that's just my opinion, and i could be wrong.

Summary: Miller For President!
Review: Based on the evidence of both "The Rants" and "Ranting Again," I believe Dennis Miller has what it takes to run this country: the ability to cut through the BS and bottom-line things in a brutal, funny and real way; a sense of humor, which is usually lacking in our elected officials; and, most important, the ability to entertain while presenting and discussing an opinion or an issue. (Listen to any typical political discourse and then think about it being punched up by someone who actually considers the listener's desire NOT to fall into a deep coma!) Maybe it's time to put all that phony polish away, toss out the self-serving blowhards and find a person who (Harry Truman, are you listening?) tells it like it is. . .or, at least, gives his opinion, though he could be wrong!

Summary: A Worthwhile Sequel
Review: By this point, most of you know whether or not you find Dennis Miller's tirades and obfuscations funny and entertaining or nauseating or maybe even a little of both. Personally, I think he's a genius who knows a lot about everything and nothing all at once and he isn't afraid to tell you about it. At first, the topics here seem a little less controversial than in "The Rants". While "The Rants" had race, teen pregnancy, and sexual equality, "Ranting Again" has Generation X, Bad TV, and UFOs. Although, to be fair, Dennis does tackle media violence and the abortion debate here and, more importantly, the number of O.J. jokes and references is fairly equal in both books. What's especially interesting about this book is how often Dennis is soft-hearted, speaking about his wife and especially his children, which proves, God love him, he's not as cranky as he'd have us believe. Of course, "The Rants" is the gold standard to which all Dennis Miller books will be compared but "Ranting Again" proves itself to be a very worthwhile sequel. Highly recommended.

Summary: Hilarious a must for anyone who likes to poke fun at everyon
Review: Dennis Miller , does it all, a man has talents galore, write hilarious prose, finding fun in the most common current events - excerpt "but that's the exception, For the most paret, we've beaten down the Canucks to the poiint where they've resigned to just stay home and think of new animals to put on their currency "

Summary: Wonderfully written review of our current society .
Review: Dennis Miller has a wonderful knack for picking just the right similies to go with a certain situation. His rants reviewing school, bad drivers, movies, and so on are dead on, he connects with the average person and makes fantastically sarcastic jokes about day to day life and problems. Brovo Dennis, Oncore.
