Rating: Summary: Dr. Green's actions were evil! Review: Ann Rule didn't have to explain Dr.Green's childhood backgroundto me. Her evil actions said it all. To tell a child to stay in a burning house is beyond belief. Having experience a fire in my own home I know how precious time is to excape. I only wish she would have gotten the death penality. In my opinion she has not shown any remorse other that getting caught. To blame her son for trying to poison her husband is appalling. The dead can't speak.

Rating: Summary: I liked it best of all her books Review: I think that I liked this book best of all her books becauseshe *didn't* launch into a endless litany of why Debora Green became mentally ill and killed her children. Frankly, I think that part is up to the reader. Although I've liked all Ann Rule's books, it is tiresome to me to read endless descriptions and details to build up the "good" people in the story and break down the "bad " ones. I think that the reader should determine who is good or bad and that can best be done by presenting facts rather details. I think this is the first really grown-up book that Ann Rule has done. Excellent!

Rating: Summary: An interesting page-turner without a conclusion. Review: This book was an interesting page-turner, but I was frustratedthat Rule could never bring herself to state the obvious conclusion --- Deborah Green is an evil person. Sometimes evil cannot be explained, but our society must be willing to admit that it exists.

Rating: Summary: an enigma Review: I first read this book a year ago, when it came out inhardcover, from the library. 2 days ago I saw it in paperback, and bought it. When I read it in hardcover, I hated it..... it left me frustrated and hurt and angry that a mother could watch while her children burned to death. Now reading the paperback..its like reading a totally different piece of literature. I cant put it down, and have been up for a day and a half reading it when im not at work. Women Like Dr. Green are an enigma...what makes them behave the way they do, and what makes them go from preforming normally in society to comitting murder. "hell might have no fury than a woman scorned", but hell never met Dr. Green! I only wish she could get the death penalty... and die the way her children did. Rule definately rules in writing true crime, .... and I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read for a long weekend....but now I cant wait til Nov 99 for the next rule book to arrive.
