Summary: A stunning, undeniable accounting of her 'disposal'
Review: Don Wolfe's incomparable research answers questions pending for 30+ years. A splendidly written expose' that shattters beliefs and paints Marilyn as not only the victim she was suspected to be, but an actress beyond what I had accredited. Bought the book on whim and read it with intensity. Outstanding !

Summary: This book will change history. It was murder not suicide.
Review: This volume clearly implicates the Kennedy's and others in her death. People who have been silent for years now speak of her untimely death. The book was researched for 7 years and should result in the exumation of her body. If she was murdered, they will need to rectify history to reflect the new knowledge. The beginning and end of the book are compelling. This is a direct challenge to the authorities to review the situation. The book is #1 in France and England and has not been reviewed in the USA. Why? It is a great Christmas gift... I got four for friends..Dr. Jack Polidoro, Brookline NH

Summary: Mind Blowing
Review: Not being a Marilyn fan I was blown away by this book, I couldn't put it down. My father in law who is also not a fan and hasn't read a book all the way through in 20 years, finished this enlighting book in two days. Of course him being a retired state trooper he usually knows the truth when he sees it. If you don't read another book this year you have to read this one. Marilyn fan or not this book will astonish you. All the facts and evidence you want are right there in black and white. The bottom line is, anyone who really wants to know the truth or is just a little curious like I was must read this book.

Summary: Starting with the first few pages, couldn't put it down!!!
Review: I have read just about every book dealing with the death of Marilyn Monroe but I have to say that this one is the best to date. Mr. Wolfe gives a mesmirizing account of such a tormented soul; a person who was used by just about everybody she ever came in contact with. And the Kennedy's. Don't even get me started!!! Arthur Miller - what a cold and uncompassionate dud of a man. In my opinion, Mr. Wolfe finally "dishes" out the real facts of MM's mysterious death. I would recommend this one above all others!!

Summary: The best book about Marilyn's death to date!
Review: There are about 85 books about Marilyn Monroe - a handful which focus on her death and the possibility of a conspiracy. This book delivers the goods! While the other books present "theories" - this book presents facts - and they are unbelieveably alarming. It is readable, fascinating and shocking! On the back cover are three quotes from the best Marilyn authors ever and they all endorse this book. I was skeptical at first but after reading it I would highly recommend this book.

Summary: The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe
Review: This is the first book by Donald Wolfe that I have read. Excellent! This page turning book kept me wanting more. The detail of interviews that he takes you through is astonishing. I say "Bravo" to Mr.Wolfe on a book very well done! This book gave me information into Marilyn's death that I never knew about and her childhood. What a tragedy! I didn't want this book to end and I am looking forward to reading more of Mr.Wolf's books. Thank you!

Summary: Wolfe proves murder and coverup
Review: This book begins with a spellbinding account of the considerable evidence that independent investigators have amassed over the decades following Marilyn's death. Parts two to five are devoted to the star's life, and the final chapter reconstructs the terrible events of her last day.

Wolfe presents abundant evidence that the Kennedy brothers, John and Robert, then U.S. president and attorney general, had a hand in murdering Marilyn Monroe to protect their own reputations. The Los Angeles police department responded to the Kennedys' power and influence by covering up the murder and refusing to conduct anything resembling a proper investigation.

One example of this is that none of the many witnesses was ever compelled to testify under oath. Independent investigator William Woodfield, for example, quotes key witness Dr. Ralph Greenson saying, "Look, I cannot explain myself without revealing things I don't want to reveal. You can't draw a line and say, 'I'll tell you this but I won't tell you that.' I can't talk about it because I can't tell you the whole story....Listen, talk to Bobby Kennedy."

It is an outrage that the LAPD allowed Greenson, Kennedy and others to remain silent. Thank you, Donald Wolfe, for researching Marilyn's murder and its coverup and giving us the truth.

I would like to comment on questions raised by another reviewer, Thomas Hughes. He asked, "Why would Murray and Greenson, who spent so much time spying on Marilyn, do that for the sake of the Communist Party?" I was baffled by this too. The communist party was powerless by 1962. My own guess is that Murray and Greenson, like Pat Newcomb, were keeping an eye on Marilyn to protect the Kennedys.

Incidentally, the FBI also classified Marilyn herself as a communist. This was probably just an all-purpose label that J. Edgar Hoover applied to everyone he didn't like.

Regarding Greenson's injection at the death scene, Wolfe wrote that ambulance driver James Hall said it was a shot of adrenaline to the heart intended to revive the fallen star. What killed Marilyn was a previous injection containing enough chloral hydrate and pentobarbital to kill from nine to twenty people.

Summary: Evidence supporting evidence supporting more evidence...TRUE
Review: This book should be the first one you read on Marilyn Monroe. Donald Wolfe tells you where he got all his information for every account. He wasn't afraid to tell the truth which is still being covered up to a certain degree. I use this book to compare to others written by people who were close to her. I got bored during all the talk of Communism in Hollywood but that is only because I was born in 1974 and am not too interested in old Hollywood. You must read this book. You will finally know the truth.

Summary: Thought-provoking
Review: I thought this book was extremely well researched and disproved some of the myths surrounding her last months. Especially the lies that George Cukor and the studio made about MM's acting being groggy and the footage unusable. Just because they talk to Robert Slatzer and Jeanne Carmen shouldn't invalidate this book. If you see the put-together footage of "Something's Got To Give" you'll see a vibrant actress, even though she was under the influence of various drugs, some given by the studio itself. I loved this book and any MM fan should too.
