Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A Quick Dose of V.I. Warshawski Review: Kathleen Turner gives a great voice to these 2 short stories. I am an avid V.I. fan and look forward to each new book. I think Paretsky's greatest strength is her character development which makes Sal, Lotty, and Mr. Contreras part of the family to her fans. These stories give a flavor for the longer versions and will introduce a new reader to V.I.'s modus operandi. Unfortunately, the shortened format doesn't give time for the character expansion that makes her full length books such a joy to read. FYI, both stories are included in Windy City Blues.
