Summary: A Day No Pigs Would Die
Review: I didn't like this book at all. It was sad and depressing because they could have of fed Pinky out and sold her for money instead of killing her. I didn't think it was right for papa to work so hard and not get paid at all. That was sad that papa was dying and didn't tell anyone. That one lady ,that said,"the way it describesthe mating habits were inappropriate". I think she needs toa be nicer cause I don't see her name anywhere. I would tell my friends about this book. I think it was neat the way they would say "my father was rich because he had true friends." I must say he did a good job. I would like to read his next book A Part of the Sky. (In class! )

Summary: A Day No Pigs Would Die
Review: I loved the book, it was so good. It was the first book that I really liked a lot. At times it was funny, but at times it was also sad. I think Robert's life was hard. As a 13-year-old boy, he had to do a lot. He went through a lot of pain as a little boy. I know how he felt when he lost his dad because I lost my papa when I was eleven. I also felt bad when his dad kills the pig. If I put myself in his shoes for a day, I think I could not handle it. Robert was a very brave little boy. I could not have watched my dad kill my favorite animal. From the book I learned that you might have to give something up you really love. This book is really good to read.

Summary: Jensey's Review
Review: I think this was a wonderful book. I felt like crying when they killed Pinky. I also felt like crying when his father died. My favorite part was when Rob went to the Rutland Fair. There Pinky won a blue ribbon for best behaved pig. He also got sick in the show ring while showing Pinky. The happiest time was when Rob got Pinky. The thing I like least about this book is the cussing. I think the book did a good job of explaining about the Shaker ways and laws. If I were to reccomend this book to anyone, it would be to teenagers. This is because it has hard words and cussing. I also look forward to reading the sequel to this book.

Summary: a good book
Review: I like A Day No Pigs Would Die, because it was a drama like book and I like drama' s. But at times I just didn't want to read it any more because it got sad at parts. Like when Haven Peck died, and when he killed Pinky. Also cause Robert had to live such a hard life for a 13 year old. Most teenagers today hardly haft to do anything. Some wash dishes and think that is hard labor.(not saying that I don't)But Robert had to do hard chores. I also didn't like the Shacker Law. I haf't to say I couldn' t live by it. But some how Robert managed to. But over all it was a good book. I recomend it for other students and also parentes.

Summary: The Best Book I Have Ever Read!
Review: This book was excellent-I couldnt put it down! Not only did it keep you on the edge of your seat, but it was realistic. The book gets a little bit rough at times- so I would recommend it for anyone under 12, but over all I found it was a good book. Do yourself a favor and read it!

Summary: An engaging novel that foretell the trials of becoming a man
Review: A Day No Pigs Would Die is an extraordinary novel that can captivate readers of ALL AGES, but on one level of maturity. The author tells of the trails and troubles that he encountered on his way to adulthood. I cannot imagine how you could not understand the content of the book. I am 13 years of age and and in 8th grade. I completely understood this book, with help from my english teacher Mr. C {Hi Mr. C!}. I think to understand this book you do not need a higher level of maturity a junior high student but a normal one. Thank You! And thank you Mr. C!
