Summary: A Day no Pigs Would Die
Review: We gave the book "A Day no Pigs Would Die" two stars because it's really hard to follow, because of all the old fasion terminology. In some places it was funny, such as when Pinky was
searching for frogs, and a crawfish pinched Pinky on the snout and Rob had to pull it off and fling it back in to the stream. Some parts were pretty gruesome, but in the end, something would happen and everything would be OK.

Summary: Interesting, very interesting
Review: This book is really good, although it can be little gross or boring in some places, like all books. There are some very interesting parts, that make up for the boring parts. Its a very good book. It's not necessarily a happy book, but I would suggest reading it. Can't wait for you to read it, and your review!

Summary: A Day Pigs No Would Die
Review: This book is a very good book for younger kids that are mature. I would recommend this book to all ages. I think the language is very in tuned for this book. This dates back in the 1920's and you can tell by the way the words are written in the book. We gave this book a four rating because it had very good details about what was going on and what was happening. For exmaple the book gave great detail explaining about Robert helping Apron have 1 calf. I think this is an great book and you should read it and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Summary: Good book to read.
Review: This book is about a shaker boy growing up in rural Vermont. He helped out a neighbor who gave him a pig in return. Sometimes the book is funny and other times it's kind of gross. THis is a good book to read to get a better idea of life as aShaker kid growing up in Vermont in the 1920's.

Summary: Keep those tissues handy!
Review: I have taught this book at the middle school, high school and college levels. It works great for all those students. The only trouble I have ever had was when I read it to my own kids. All three of us were crying so hard at the end that my wife thought I had to be abusing them. My son, six at the time, ordered me not to read him any more sad books.

Summary: Not so great..
Review: OPINION: Don't buy this book if you are looking for an epic, I think it is very overrated, but not a waste of time. I started this book expecting it to be one of the best books I would ever read because that is what I heard from other reviewers...It was not, and I would not reccomend it to everyone.

WHAT IS THIS BOOK ABOUT???!!: A Day no pigs would die is about a boy named rob who goes through wild adventures with his pig. Rob recives the pig as a gift from the owner of a cow that he saved.

Agian, do not read this book expecting it to be great, read it expecting it to be OK! If this reveiw helped you don't forget to vote YES!!

Summary: So real
Review: Anyone who thinks this book is simply disgusting and nothing more should read it again. This book was so simple, real and heart-warming. It was about love and growing up.

Summary: Simply dreadful
Review: This book is quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. And this statement is coming from a person who absolutely loves to read. Peck simply missed the target with this book. I believe he was trying to create a book about the value of growing up. The finished product certaintly wasn't like the aim. Instead of values, this book was filled with death and animal cruelty. I was warned by my older sister and some of my friends that this was a horrible book. I am in eighth grade (although we get out of school on Thursday, June 14) and this book was assigned for school. I decided I was going to read it with an open mind. However, it started out okay. But as the book progressed, it became more and more disgusting. It was actually banned from [...] School District (the district in [...] in which I attend) because of a part in chapter 13. It was really after chapter 11 that I really began to despise this book. If you recall, it was when they cruelly murdered the dog, Hussy. It was a heartless and disgusting thing to do. So, a word for the wise, DO NOT read this book if you don't have to. It will only bring you grief. Have a great summer everyone! Happy reading to all! Pray don't choose books that are as offensive and disgusting as this one!

Summary: Appealing and Appauling
Review: I think that 'A Day No Pigs Would Die' is a wonderful book. I disliked some and liked some. Very touching and very addicting. This book points out a lot of views and analogies and shows much patential. When I had first started reading this book, I did not like it. As I read on, things became more interesting and I couldn't set it down. Being a 9th grader in High School, I would have to say that this book wasn't so much challenging, but it was a very good book that had taught me a lot of new things that I may have taken me a longer time period to figured out and explore.
