Summary: pretty good book
Review: I think that this book should get 4 stars because it was a very mysterious. When I read a bit of the book, I wanted to read more to solve a mystery, but when you solve one it leads to another so basically, it is an addictive book and really scary. The setting is usually dark night or foggy day so white hair is very creepy, and it was located in a cemetary when a squalor lady who is believed to be dead approaches Dupin and askes for her children. The reason I didn't add an extra star was because it was long and took a while to finish. It also gave me nightmares. So deducing it down to a conclusion, this basically is a pretty good book except for the length of the book.

Review: This book started out alrite with the sister nowhere to be found and her brother [Edmund] alone,the aunt dead, and only one person who will help him [Edgar Alllan Poe, often referred to as Austin Dupin]. Dupin is a character in a book Poe wrote and when Poe is a detective. Poe is a border line psycho. Poe is writting a story about Edmunds life and wishes the sister to be daed. I didn't like book because Poe kept changing from Poe to Dupin and one minute he'd like Edmund one minute and hate him next. I recomend this book to people who like borring detective books

Review: BOOK ISN'T BAD! THIS BOOK WAS WEIRD IN IT'S WAY WITH A MYSTERY THAT CRAWLS UP YOUR SPINE.THIS AMAZING BOOK WASN'T THAT BAD. THE MYSTERY WAS KIND OF ABOUT A BOY NAMED EDMUND HAS DISCOVERED ONE WHILE GOING OUT TO GET FOOD ,THAT HIS SISTER IS MISSING. THEN THE BOOK IS ABOUT HOW HE AND THIS WEIRD PSYCOTIC GUY THAT INVESTIGATES THE MYSTERY OF HIS MISSING SISTER AND MOM. I KIND OF ENJOYED THIS MY MYSTERY BOOK.IT HAD A LOT OF EXCITING AND DIFFERENT WORDS THAT YOU WOULDN'T NORMALLY HEAR. READ THIS BOOK AND BE AMAZED.

Review: The Man Who Was Poe was a great book that was so fun to read.It was very suspensful, after every chapter there was a new mystery to solve and a new solved mystery. It was really fun to try to solve the mysteries and then find out what really happens. Avi is a great author espesialy if you like mysteries, which I do. The Man Who was poe is a different story to any other story I have ever read. This book makes you think in a way you usually don't think and it's fun. I would definatly recomend this book even if you are not into mysteries trust me you'll like this one.

Review: I think the man who was poe was ok. I think that it could have been more scary than it was.It would have been good if Throck went bad at the end and crashed the boat killing himself,badly injuring Edmund and Poe . Then Poe would have to save Edmund and help himself to shore.I also think there should be a sequel.

Review: This book was so suspensful. I'd have to admit that some chapters were sort of boring but overall it was a great book. they feed you a little information evry chapter. It's cool how you find out tthe mystery little by little. You got to get this book.

Review: THE MAN WHO WAS POE was a great thriller. This book was very suspenceful . As you solve a mystery with Mr.Dupin and Endmund in a mysteries and spooky little town in Province ,you discover spooky characters, and go on thrilling adventure' . Where is sis and mom . Edmund is confused and scared as he goes on this twisting adventure. Dupin helps Edmund , but all he wants is a story . Everybody is a suspect in this town. I hope you have fun with this mind boggling book.

Review: I thought this book was great! The only thing though, was that it a really depressing book. I liked that it was mysterious and it made you want to keep reading more.Throughout the whole book I was wondering where all of the people were, AVI just talked about the characters and that made it seem more depressing.I really liked this book, it makes me want to read more of AVI's books.I gave this book four stars, because it was a book that I couldn't put down, but it's probably a book that I wouldn't buy.
