Summary: The Flunking of Joshua T. Bates
Review: The Flunking of Joshua T. Bates is a really good book. It influenced me to do a good job in my school work. Josh is held back in third grade and threatens to move to East Africa because of it. His teacher looks like a tank and kids that are not even as smart as him get to go to fourth grade. This book is comical, hysterical, and hilarious. If I could rate it higher than a five, I would!

Review: I would reccomend this book only for younger children. Personally, I have read many books with the same plot. Joshua is having a great summer when his mother tells him that he has to repeat third grade. Things just keep getting worse when he finds out he has Mrs. Goodwin "the tank". I think that some people may really enjoy this book. Read about Josh's adventures and see how you like it!

Summary: Jennifer-review for Josha T.Bates
Review: I think the book Josha T. Bates is a preety good book.I likethe way it described the charters and what was going on. It used alot of describing wordes tohelp me a good picture about the soroundings.I also think it is a good book for childeren.Idid not like the way it ended i think it needed another kind of ending.

I think on of the best parts of the book was when him and his classmates were geting along.I think that was the best part because i don't anyone should be alone or have no friendes.Another good part is when he was able to pass the third grade.I think one of the bad parts would be when it was his frist day and all of his friendes were in the fourth grade.I think this way because I think it would be sad to be all by yourself sorrounded by stangers. That is the only thing I did not like about the book, and that it was shourter then I wanted it to.

In this story I think that Susan Richards did a really nice job on describing the was the charecters were. She described the what the charecter were wearing and simple think like that that helped me get a mental picture in my head.I also belive that she did a good job on telling the setting. She just described to me little thing like what time of year and the colors it looked liked. That is a few of the things i think she did a wounderful job on.
