Joshua was having a really great summer until his mom told him he had to repeat third grade.Then he finds out that his third grade teacher is Mrs.Goodwin. Joshua is such a worrier because he worries about his report card but that's not all - Tommy Wilhelm, the the class room bully, gets to go into fourth grade and Joshua is so mad that he says that he is going to East Africa.Read to find what happens to Joshua.

Review: I would highly recommend this book for anyone. A few characters are Josh (the main character), Mrs. Goodwin (his third grade teacher), and Andrew (his best friend). Josh is held back in third grade and tries to get "promoted" to fourth grade. On the way he has some trouble from Tommy Wilholm who makes fun of him through the year.He learns to love third grade after a while. This is a very humerous book. At the end they leave you hanging so you will read this book.

He was sad that he had to repeat 3rd grade. He called his teacher a tank. In the middle of the year he found out that his teacher is nice. His teacher tutored him and then he gets promoted to 4th grade. When you get a chance to go to the library you should check it out.

Review: I would highly reccommend this book for anyone. Let me tell you a little bit about it. Joushua was having a great summer until his mom told him he would be repeating 3rd grade. It was horrible for Joshua. His teacher looks like a military tank. All of his classmates are shorter than him. Also Tommy Wilham is making fun of him. Kids that were dumber than Joushua were passing 3rd grade also. Read to find out how Joushua and his teacher [the tank] learn to become friends.

Review: I highly recommend this book for any age readers. This book is very funny and is realistic fiction . This is one of the funnyiest books I have ever read. Josh liked his summer a lot. He was down when his mother told him he had to be held back. He didn't want to have Mrs. Goodwin for another year. Joshua thought Mrs. Goodwin looked like a tank but she was really nice in the end. Review: I liked this book, because of the events. This book is very humerous. Josh's summer was going great until the end of the summer. Josh's mom told him that he was going to repeat the third grade. Josh was upset the first day, because he was stuck with a tank as his teacher and short kids. Tommy was another thing. The first day Josh and Tommy had a fight on the playground. Read this book to read about all of Josh's troubles. It's great!

Review: The Flunking of Joshua T. Bates is a really good book. The book is about a boy named Joshua and he flunks 3'rd grade. He was very disappointed about the news. He ends up getting the teacher that walks like a tank. Joshua thought this would be just as bad as last year. The two of them become good friends. Then he takes a Standerdized test to see if he could join his friends in the 4'th grade.
The reason I would rate this book a 4 is bcause it wasn't my favorite book I have ever read, even though it was funny and I enjoyed reading the book. Read to find out if Joshua makes it to the 4'th Grade. I hope you enjoy reading The Flunking of Joshua T. bates.
