Summary: Between Lovers
Review: Between Lovers, by Eric Jerome Dickey(EJD) is a character driven story about a successful African American author caught in a erotic love triangle with another woman for the heart of his ex-fiance. Dickey manages to handle the complex themes of infidelity and bisexaulity with wit and humor. The story overcomes a slow start with strong characterization and dialogue. In a less skilled writers hand Between Lovers may have become nothing more than a cheap BET Rap video storyline, but Dickey showcases his writing ability by conveying both the physical and emotional side of love, sex and relationships.

Summary: An Interesting Love Triangle!
Review: Between Lovers, by Eric Jerome Dickey, is one of those books that I am supposed to hate. No, it's not because of the subject matter either. I am supposed to hate this book because I think fighting over a lady and compromising to stay with that lady is crazy. But, with that said, Between Lovers grabbed me from the first page and never let me go. I LOVED this book and I found myself laughing at the characters one minute and mad at one of them the next. What amazed me about this book is how honest and realistic it comes across when, at first glance, this is one of those far fetched ideas (a man and a lady wanting the same lady). Some people I've talked to are uncomfortable with the lesbian stuff but these same people have read E. Lynn Harris' books??? Anyway, give this book a try and maybe you'll enjoy it as much as I did!

Summary: Five Stars and a snap
Review: Explosive, emotional, thought provking. I absolutely love this book. I had to put the book down a couple of times because the subject matter caught me off guard. I didn't know the book was going to be as graphic as it is. This book had me praying that I never fall in love so deep that I would be willing to share my mate with the opposite sex. Great book keep up the work.

Summary: Thought provoking
Review: These are my thoughts on the latest work by EJD.
Why is bisexuality between 2 females and a male Ok, while between 2 males and female it is not?(compared to E. Lynn Harris' work)
Nicole was selfish, and was not in love but was in controlling. This was evident when asked could her two lovers complete the circle, and she said no, "I'm the focal point". I would have liked to have seen more into her childhood. Did she not get enough attention as a child. Women have loved men so much that they have been willing to share their men with other women for centuries. Have even been as to do the threesome...but oh when the tables are turned. The main character did wake-up a little, when he realized the guilt trip he was under, he thought he was responsible for Nicole going the other way after their trip to Paris, but after he discovered she had been dipping prior to the trip..he was set free. Lesbian relationshpis are hard to discontinue, one will hold on for dear life. love is love,, and it makes you do strange things. But true love will have you do what is best for the other person, even if that means without you. Relationships are give and take..not take take. Concerning christianity...being a good person as nicole describe of herself will not to get her into heaven. Funny how the characters were always running...Running from what ..running to whom...As God directs...we must be still to listen for direction...the accident caused the writer to be still.and listen. For those who didn't like the book, the author was successful in provoking thoughts into readers.such as myself.
Good job Dickey.

Summary: YSAMYCHGO
Review: Just finished reading "Between Lovers." Bougth it back in July, but wanted to save it awhile to build up my own anticipation. I must say, that it was an extraordinary story, one that has lingered in my mind for weeks. I also must admit when I first learned what the story was about, I was skeptical as to whether I could get into it and enjoy it as much as his other books. I was completely surprised at how absorbed I became. Had I passed on reading this book soley because of the subject matter, it would have been my loss. EJD, keep telling stories on the real. It's refreshing as well as thoroughly entertaining. A Fan. YDS

Summary: Too much explicit sex
Review: The book contained way too much explicit sex that was not necessary to the plot of the story. The story itself was good, but the sex and the description of the landscape was just filler. I've read Eric Jerome Dickey before and liked all his previous books. I was very disappointed in this book.

Summary: Very Enlightening
Review: I just finished reading "Between Lovers." Eric Jerome Dickey is awesome! He is an insightful author with a lot of depth. Mr. Dickey's characters are so true to life that one cannot help but open one's self to the titilating plot that awaits the reader at the turn of every page. I look forward to reading more of his books.

Summary: A Pretty Good Book
Review: I read this book last year and I really enjoyed it. Some of the writing was more graphic than what I expected but it was still good. I like a book that surprises you. This book definitely does that.

Summary: Opening Our objectivity
Review: I am an adament reader of Eric Jerome Dickey's Literature. He is a star in his own right. "Between Lovers" allowed him to reach beyond the norm and to focus on relationships that aren't a part of everyone's genre. Yet he took us to another level in men and women's relationships. I applaud you Eric. Homosexuality isn't a subject that I enjoy reading about, but I clung to your every word, theme, gesture, place, location, sound, sight, vision,... longing to know, what's going to happen next.
