Summary: Disappointing
Review: Where did the writer of 'Milk in my Coffee' go? The plot seems to be suited more to a short story. The Sexual Content was too much for my liking. Characters weren't well developed. Couldn't develop any empathy for any of the characters.

Summary: Another winner from Eric!
Review: Once again, Eric Jerome Dickey has rocked the literary scene with a novel that is in-your-face blunt! And hard to put down! This is the story of a man in love - so much so, he's willing to wait for his ex-fiance, Nicole, to "find herself" by stringing him and her girlfriend Ayanna along. Yep, she's in love with a man and a woman. The narrator, who's name is unknown, is a writer who stays in a hotel in Oakland whenever he wants to visit with Nicole, because Nicole and Ayanna live together. It gets to the point where Nicole wants the two to meet in an intimate setting, but she wants them to follow the "rules". How far will one go for love? Would you sacrifice your morals, what you believe in, be it homosexuality or fidelity, to please the one you love? Would you still love a person that DEEP, when that person stood you up at the alter, in front of God, your family and friends? This novel makes you answer those questions and more! A must read.

Summary: did somebody say menage a trois?
Review: eric has done it again. between lovers is definitely a must read. it took only two (2) days for me to complete this book. in between lovers, eric is the narrator in this book and the way he tells the story of himself, nicole (his fiancee that dumped him at the altar) and ayannah (nicole's lover), is nothing short of very interesting. from a man's point of view, this is definitely a question of "what would you do if you were in this situation?" as for nicole, she has the hard lesson of finding out what you get when you become too greedy and selfish. a question for eric--- and the next book is?

Summary: Obsessive Love
Review: The narrator is left at the altar and discovers that his would be bride has another partner. Surprise-the partner is a woman.

This book is not a typical romance or contemporary fiction where you have a lover's triangle. This triangle involves a man and two women; One of the main character's wants both lovers. One of those lovers wants to complete the triangle thus making a circle. Another surprise, it is not who you would assume. What is so intriguing about this novel is that it is a deep, psychological look into sexuality and how some may question their own identity. With this novel you have betrayal, jealousy, deceit and self-discovery. Also, material wealth comes into play in the form of self-promotion.

You want to dislike one of the main characters, Nicole, because at first glance she is spoiled, hypocritical and selfish. But for some reason you cannot dislike her. I found myself cheering on the narrator wishing that he would come out the winner. In the end he was a winner. The feelings are also explored of the secondary characters such as the parents and friends of the main characters. Those secondary characters provide some insight into the behavior of your major players.

I've only read Sister, Sister, Cheaters and Friends and Lovers and was surprised at the level this book took on. It was not what I expected.

This reader is in awe! KUDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Another Best Seller
Review: Eric has done it again with this new novel. I read this book in one day. The characters were very interesting, one couldn't help but think if the male character was the author himself. This is a very good book, the ending will surprise everyone.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not even close to his best
Review: Where do I start? A poor effort from Eric Jerome. It seems to be a rushed work drawing something from personal experience. His style thank God remains intact but this piece is far from his best. Lovers of milk in my coffee, Cheaters and Liars Game will be disappointed.

Summary: wow...not for beginners!
Review: If you want a book that grabs you at the very beginning, this is it. If you want a book that has so much imagery it could be poetry, this is it. If you want a book that will leave your head spinning, this is it. But, if you want another book that will endlessly chronicle Black men and women running after each other in the single's marathon, read the other indistinguishable authors.

Written in the first person, Dickey manages to convey lust, sensuality, frustration and love, while making the reader truly care about the fate of the three main characters.

This is a powerful work that's not intended for younger readers. The lyricism is incredible, the characters are real, and the references to Oakland, California places the reader right in the center of the action.

One caution: if you are sensitive about your sensuality, this is not the book for you. However, for those who don't mind the explicit and moving eroticism, the main conflict is riveting.

My final note: I'm not usually easily moved [read: I don't cry at movies], but the Mother's scene is so real, so moving, so powerful, and so well written, yes, I cried along with the main female character.

Dickey has moved beyond his peers with this one...it's not for beginners!

Summary: Could have been better!
Review: I was disappointed with the book. There were several errors and at one point 'Nicole' was spelled 'Nichole'. The story line was weak and really not up to what I expected from EJD! At one point in the story a character sets down an empty glass only to have the author have her pick it back up and take another drink. Go figure! EJD you're losing me....your first two books were the best but you're falling off.

Summary: MR. DICKEY DOES IT AGAIN
Review: I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK AS WELL AS ALL OTHERS THAT WERE DONE BY THIS AUTHOR. I ENJOY THE WAY HE WOUND THE CHARACTERS OF HIS PREVIOUS BOOK, AS WELL AS THE FAMILIES OF THE NARRATOR AND NICOLE WITH THEIR PAST HISTORIES AND SHORT COMINGS INTO THIS ONE. YES NICOLE FINALLY GREW UP IN THIS NOVEL, AND BECAME A LITTLE SELFISH IN HER NEEDS OF SATISFACTION TO THE POINT OF TAKING THE LOVE OF HER FORMER FIANCE AND AYANNA FOR GRANTED. I WAS SOMEWHAT ROOTING FOR HER TO COME OUT THE OVERALL LOSER, IT WAS STILL WORTH THE WAIT.

Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK
Review: BETWEEN LOVERS WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE PAST BOOKS AND IT TOOK A LITTLE WHILE LONGER FOR ME TO GET INTO IT, BUT ONCE I DID, I COULDN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. I MET ERIC JEROME DICKEY AT ONE OF HIS BOOK SIGNINGS AND HE SIGNED MY BOOK! AFTER THAT I READ BETWEEN LOVERS IN FOUR DAYS AND AS USUAL, HE HAS DONE A GREAT JOB.
