Rating: Summary: Another hit!!! Review: Once again, Eric Jerome Dickey has written a succes! I couldn't put the book down! The description of this love triange was so vivid and real, I felt like I was a fly on the wall! He has such a way with words that he makes the reader feel as though we are one with the characters. I definitely recommend this and his other books, as well.
Rating: Summary: Hot Like Fire Review: This book is off the chain. I loved the way Mr. Dickey kept the narrator annonymous. It was different and gave the book a mysterious appeal. Mr. Dickey does a great job with imagery and keeping the story at a steady pace. I hope Mr. Dickey gives us more explosive erotica in the future. Two thumbs up on this attempt!
Rating: Summary: Out of my comfort zone? Review: Okay,When I first saw the book, I had to have it. I originally purchased it in late June, early July, I think. Read the front cover, and put it away. My sister took it home with her to New Jersey. I got it back from her and she kept hounding me to read it. I tried, wasn't feeling it. Got into it last week at the gym. It was the best yet! A little out of my comfort zone originally. I cried throughout the book at the serious love that Nicole had for Ayanna and the narrator. She is so determined to have both of them in her life. Near the end, she seemed to have more love for them than for Christ, which was a little deep... The sex scenes in this novel, I think were a little more intense than in other books written by Mr. Dickey. I am not sure if that was his intent, or my perception, given the circumstance. The language and emotion that he puts on paper is so real that it seems like he is a man with either much experience or imagination. EJD is a very talented author and I look forward to reading his next book.
Rating: Summary: Masterful! Review: Okay let's face it, I'm an Eric Jerome Dickey fan. I absolutely adored Friends and Lovers. And Cheaters blew me away. However, and I can't say which is my favorite, but Mr. Dickey's use of words enveloped liquid poetry in Between Lovers. He was absolutely masterful. He did not beat you over the head with the lessons, you just got them. The characters were phenomenally developed, clear and concise. Scenes were vivid and intelligent. And of course the book was totally what you did not expect! And by the way, I was well into the book before I realized the main character was not named. Masterful and intelligent! The race is not given to the swift or the strong but to those who endure to the end!
Rating: Summary: How far would you go? Review: How far will you go for love? Is an intersting story of one woman, Nicole and her desire and need to have not one but two lovers. Our un-named narrator a successful author felt Nicole is his soul mate, the love of his life (even though she left him at the alter on their day because she was in love with someone else). That some else, just so happen to be a female and a successful attorney. Nicole needed or wanted both of them to make herself feel loved and whole and validated. As this story unfold we see the length that Nicole will go through to get what she wants and needs (or what she believes she needs). We also get a look at just how far a man will go for love and also how far a women will go. This is a novel, I believe everyone should read. And as you read it. Ask yourself how far you would go in the name of love.
Rating: Summary: LaShundra's Review Review: This is LaShundra again. I'm giving you 5 stars for Between Lovers. That book is off tha chains. I really adore you and your work. No matter what others think of you and your book, you and I both know that you're tha bomb. Love Ya!
Rating: Summary: GREAT WORK! Review: This book is a MUST READ! Eric J. has done it again and I am anxiously awaiting his next project. One thing I loved about this book is that it has a great ending. And everyone knows a book is not book unless it has a great ending. So much love to you Mr. Dickey.
Rating: Summary: Not what I expected Review: I have all of Eric's books and usually really enjoy his writing. However, I was disappointed with Between Lovers. I thought the love scenes were just too much, too often and I thought the writing was somewhat choppy. Seemed like Nicole always spoke in incomplete sentences and I couldn't follow who was talking. The storyline was okay and it did get really intense during the chase scene but I found it difficult to get through and had to force myself to keep reading.
Rating: Summary: real life , honest Review: I have now read 3 EJD books and Between Lovers was real , and honest , you could see the characters as yourself. It was a great read always wanting more from page to page.A love story so twisted and wild.It touches the honesty of each of us regardless of color deep down feelings we have when we reach that deep setted love we all crave. This book will have your mind going and wondering for days .A book that makes you say what if ? If you have an open and curious mind this book will take you to your limits.
Rating: Summary: Breath-Taking Review: I have recently read E.J.D.'s Between lovers, and I still can't take my mind off of it. It has a certain twist compared to all his other books. This book is full if obsession, lust, love, lies, tragedy, danger, and betrayal. All these different combinations blended all together make this the great love story that it is. What I love the most about this book is that I know to expect the unexpected. I have read all of E.J.D's other books but I just have to say that this one is the best one by far!! I read this book and it felt like I was watching a movie. He is so detailed. I felt as if I were right there. What I love the most about this book was how he realized that he had to let go. It was as if he lost the battle but won the war. At the end of this twisted novel everything works out for the best for everyone. This book is an absolute must, for both males and females.
