Summary: FULL OF SUSPENSE AND INTRIGUE
Review: I READ HALF OF THE BOOK ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO AND UNBEKNOWNST TO ME MY EX-WIFE LOANED IT TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW AND NEVER GOT IT BACK IT TOOK ME A WHILE BUT I FOUND IT AGAIN AND READ IT FROM COVER TO COVER IN THREE DAYS, THE SUSPENSE WAS THERE FROM THE FIRST PAGE TO THE LAST. THE ONLY THING THAT I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK WAS IT SEEMED THAT MR. MORRELL WAS TRUELY TRYING TO GET THIS BOOK MADE INTO A MOVIE DUE TO THE LOVE SCENES IN THE LAST QUARTER OF THE BOOK. WHEN I FIRST STARTED READING, I THOUGHT GREAT A BOOK LIKE THE BODYGUARD WITHOUT THE LOVE STORY, HER WE GO; THEN THE LAST QUARTER OF THE BOOK MADE ME WONDER IF THIS IS WERE THEY GOT THE IDEA FOR THE MOVIE, "THE BODYGUARD" ANYHOW I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TITLE AND WILL KEEP IT AMOUNG MY OTHER COLLECTION OF BOOKS THAT WILL NEVER AGAIN BE LOANED OUT WITHOUT A SUBSTANTIAL DOWN PAYMENT.

Review: I read this book in two nights, unable to sleep without knowing what would happen next. Morrell's realistic characters and thorough research combine with a great story line full of action and suspense to create a book that grabs you at the start and doesn't let go until the amazing end. A MUST READ FOR ACTION FANS!!!

Review: I read this book over two years ago now and I can still remember the suspense I felt. The action was fast and furious, the dialogue was quick and on edge. I thought the story was original, the charactors unique, and the overall effect - unmatched!

Summary: Will Make You Say 'Wow'
Review: Opening gets you hooked. As the plot unfolds, the reader has so many questions, it's amazing to think they're all going to eventually be answered. The end brings the answers, but a little too sudden, fast , and furious. Less development of the chase scenes and more clues to the ending would have made the climactic scene much easier (and more interesting) to discover. There are so many ideas and explanations thrown at you in the final few pages, it would have been great to have them hinted at earlier.

Summary: Masters of the Fifth Profession - Savage & Akira
Review: Savage and Akira are superior bodygaurds known as "executive protectors". They are intelligent and brilliantly trained men who show qualities reserved for old "Comitatus" and "Ronin" type warriors of the past. Savage's lastest assignment sees him rescue a beautiful woman from the clutches of her demented Greek husband who repeatedly rapes and beats her. This assignment also marks the reunion of Akira and Savage, who previously remember seeing eachother die on another mission. Convinced that there is some foul play involved, they travel from America to Japan, trying to keep one step ahead of unknown assassins. Dirty politics coupled with violent action leads them to uncover a blood-soaked media gimmick involving top secret cover-ups and "false memory" control. Morrell's novel is well told and gives the reader an intelligent story, although it gets reppetitive along the way, it's a great novel to keep readers on their toes!

DOES MORRELL TAKE SOME SORT OF A DRUG TO DREAM UP THESE IDEAS? AN AMERICAN AND A JAPANESE "5TH PROFESSIONAL" ARE ASSIGNED TO GUARD A JAPANESE BUSINESS MAN. THEY ARE NOT BODY GUARDS BUT A SPECIAL CLASS OF PROTECTORS KNOWN AS COMITATUS PLEDGED TO PROTECT THEIR ASSIGNMENT TO THEIR DEATH IF NECESSARY. SAVAGE FIRST RESCUES THE BRIDE OF A CRUEL ABUSIVE GREEK BILLIONAIRE. HE NOW HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT HER UNTIL SHE IS BAK SAFE WITH HER BROTHER. BUT THE PROTECTORES HAVE THE NEW ASSINGMENT AND RACHEL INSISTS ON TAGGING ALONG AS THEY TRAVEL TO JAPAN. THERE THEY INTEND TO SEARCH FOR THE ANSWERS AS TO HOW THEY SAW EACH OTHER DIE BUT ARE STILL ALIVE. IT GETS MORE WIEREDBY THE PAGE UNTI I SKIPPED TO THE END. MORRELL JUST GOT TOO INVOLVED WITH CIA PLOT TO CREATE BRAVE OR FEARLESS SOLDIERS BY USIN BRAIN SURGERY TO ERASE SOME MEMORIES SO THE MEN WOULD LIVE TO DIE FIGHTING.MORRELL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS BUT HE FLUBBED THIS ONE. GLAD I DIDN'T READ THIS NOVEL FIRST OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE LAST I READ BY HIM.
