Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down!!!! Review: The Locket is by far the best book I have read. It stirs emotions that you might not known you've had. I cried, I laughed. Michael is inside of everyone of us, but it might take reading this book to discover that.
Rating: Summary: A beautifully written book about second chances in life Review: This book has quite a few wonderful points that it drives home. I like that Michael, a young man, placed a high value on the elderly residents that he helped in the nursing home. Michael learns lessons about love from Esther, and about taking the easy way out, through his trial. The excerpts from Esther's diary at the beginning of each chapter were clever---I enjoyed her words of wisdom. This novel really shows the reader, through the lives and loves of Esther and Michael, the difference between choosing two roads; a road of love, or a road of fear. The book is relatively short, interesting, and makes the reader think. I would recommended this book.
Rating: Summary: A sweet, sentimental love story. Review: If you are looking for a nice, sweet story to read...this is a good choice. The quick chapters are written in a way that kept me turning the pages. And in light of all the craziness in the world today, it reminds you that there are still good people out there.
Rating: Summary: magical every time Review: I just read this book for the second time and it made me cry all over again. Once you get near the end, there is no putting in down. The characters are so believable and it draws its readers in.
Rating: Summary: A VERY TOUCHING, STORY.ONE YOU DONT FORGET!!! Review: I ENJOYED THIS BOOK VERY MUCH!! ITS ONE OF YOUR BEST!! DONT STOP WRITTING , I WOULD MISS YOUR BOOKS ALOT!! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS...
Rating: Summary: It's amazing the different types of love you can find Review: I simply could'nt put it down,I read this book in one day(During the biggest snow storm of 99) I got lost in this book as though I was sittng at the end of Esther's bed,and in the courtroom.I enjoyed every sentence and will read it again.I plan on reading Richard's other books and if there anything like this one I look forward to the many tears
Rating: Summary: Mom loved it, I loved it, recommended it to my friends Review: A good book that I recommended to three of my teenage friends. I thought it was sweet how Michael gave Faye Esther's ring. I like how Michael never gave up, even through his troubled times.

Rating: Summary: A book that you can't stop reading, such a love story! Review: My daughter volunters at a Public Library. She has given me some beautiful books. The "Locket" was a l998 Christmas Present. Prior to this she had given me The Christmas Box, The Letter, and Time Piece. It's difficult to say which I liked the best; they are all beautiful. I like the "size" easy to hold when you read lying down! Have given them for Christmas and birthday presents. I have enjoyed his writings so much would love to be able to meet him and his family. Lost my husband just a year ago; I thank the Lord that I have good eye sight there are so many wonderful books; computeers, TV, or movies can never take their place.
Rating: Summary: A must read! Review: This book brought forth a wide range of emotions at a continual - just around the corner- pace. I read all 361 pages in one setting with the exception of when I begrudgingly had to feed my son his breakfast.
