Summary: If you don't read this book your missing a stunner!
Review: Before I write a review I read what others have to say. Although I do not always write whether it is helpful or not it helps to get what I say in order. This book is refreshing, amazing - I read it in two sittings of 3hours each, simply because I have to get up to work in the morning ! Yes, I also bought and put it on the shelf but when I picked it up - I couldn't put it down ! Poetry in prose :Esther's diary, the love story, the trial - I kept reading faster and faster to find out what happens next. In short - I loved it and promised it already to my father - who is a voracious reader, and a friend in turn. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Summary: What, you can't give 6 stars?
Review: This is a book that teaches the art of forgiveness, never forgetting your first love and staying true to your heart. It's realistic with no smut or filth and that's refreshing when so many authors are peddling it.

Summary: I truly enjoyed it.
Review: I recognized Richard Paul Evans name from Timepiece. Actually I was not very impressed much by that one (possibly because I haven't read the Christmas Box).

But the Locket did change my view of him. Richard is a very, very good writer. I finished it in a couple days with the last 4 straight hours reading it through the end. I really like the way the story goes and how each character is woven into each other. It's a love story, but not the type that made you sick in the stomach. Instead it touches my heart. A few times it brought tears to my eyes. Very touching. I particularly like the Forgiveness chapter. Several excellent thoughts on life surface throughout the book.

Summary: Evans Does It Again!
Review: Materfully written story about two "friends" who, although are generations apart, have a lot in common. As with all of Evans' novels, he does an outstanding job delivering a message about what is truly important in life. He masterfully weaves the story through his two main characters and successfully gets his message across to the reader. Reading his books always puts life back into perspective.

Summary: Richard Paul Evans Touches Your Heart
Review: Ever since I read Richard Paul Evans' first book "The Christmas Box", I have wanted to read every book he's written since. "The Locket" touches your heart, I almost cried while reading it. He's an excellent writer and I can't wait for more of his books to be published!

Summary: This is an incredible book!
Review: I bought this book a while ago, but put it in my bookshelf without much taught. Once I went back to read it, I couldn't put it down! This book has a little bit of everything! It's about romance, unrequited love, justice and injustice, forgiveness and faith. I especially like the excerpt's from Esther's diary. I cryed at the end when Michael reads Esther's letter. You've got to get this book and read it immediately.

Summary: Generations Apart ... but each learns from the other
Review: See review below by 'anonymous' reader in Orlando FL --- my name was not mentioned in this review although I had requested that it be posted. Excellent book! See my comments. This is a definite "must read".

Summary: Wonderfully sentimental and touching, yet so poignant!
Review: I love a book that draws you right into the heart of each character. I also appreciate a story that envelopes you like familiar embrace. There was something about each character that touched a part of life's experiences in a way that touched the reader's life. This story has so much to teach the reader about the importance of each stage of life and the choices we make. Esther's diary entries at the beginning of each chapter are simple yet thought-provoking. The relationship between Michael and each of the other characters in the story, seem often improbable, yet always inspiring. A beautifully woven tapestry!
