Summary: Navy Seal at hiis finest!
Review: Hi I'll get write to the point awsome book I was 8 or 9 when I read it and to be honest 8 or 9 year olds don't have the best attention spands, but, the book held it. It was like I was in the jungle with him, swimming in the croc filled waters and holding my sawed off shot gun waiting for the VC, point is it is one of the best books I've ever read it is a must read, ...

Summary: Best Navy Seal book out there
Review: I have read just about every Navy Seal book out there and this one is by far the best one. The way the teams can turn it on and off like a light switch from cold calculated killers and then back to normal is unbeleivable...

Summary: Smith talks more of "partying" than his Vietnam experiences.
Review: I've read alot of Vietnam War material, but this was by far the worst. All Smith does is brag about his partying and his shotgun, which he refers as "sweetlips"...He even brags of how he pulled the legs off of a "VC-ant"! B-O-R-I-N-G could be used as good material for a comic book....

Summary: "I WAS THERE WITHOUT THE SOUND EFFECTS!!"
Review: I've read several Navy Seal books ,this one along with "ELEMENT OF SURPRISE" By Daryl Young are by far the most descriptive books I've ever read. I could almost feel the stickyness of the air while the missions are discribed in great detail.

Summary: SEALs Again
Review: In DEATH IN THE JUNGLE Gary A. Smith tells the story of his 1st of 5 tours in Vietnam with the elite SEAL Teams. From all night ambushes to nearly being left to fend for themselves in the jungle, Smith and his comrades share their pranks, parties, and sorrows in this book. Another great one.

Summary: Outstanding!!!!!! Fell the perfume of the jungle!!!!!!!!!
Review: RM2 Smith, Point/Swimmer/Rifleman, Shotgun. 257 combat missions in Nam under his belt. He gives you an outstanding description of the missions at the Nam's Jungle. I've read the 314 pages of the book in 3 days. Smith grabs you until the last page of the last mission. Reading the book you became one of the Foxtrot Platoon's member, real near the VC and between MM2 Funkhouser and RM2 Smith...............Just dont miss it.....its a real good non-fiction Vietnam portrait!!!!!!! 5 stars ***** book
