Summary: When I was little this was my favorite book
Review: I am 23 years old, but this is still one of my ten favorite books, because I loved it so much when I was younger. I think so much of it that I bought a copy of it as a present for a little girl right after she was born. I wanted her to grow up reading it, like I did, because it always made me happy when I was a child. If little kids spent more time reading books like Corduroy instead of playing video games for target practice and watching all the random, unfiltered trash on television, the world would be a better place.

Summary: Cute & Cuddly
Review: I am a high school student now and I was thrilled to see that I could have an opportunity to review one of my favorite books as a child. For those who might not know the story, "Corduroy" is about a teddy bear at a department store who looses the button to his overalls. The story is an account of this cute, huggable toy bear (reminicent of another famous yellow bear) as he searchs through the department store to find his lost button. Anyone who reads this book, whether they're an adult or a child, will have the same happy feelings as I did.

Summary: Loved it then....and love it now!
Review: I first read(well, had it read to)this book when I was in pre-school(1984-ish) and I loved it! My favorite illistration was of Corduroy pulling the "button" off the matress and flying in the air!

Anyway, I saw this book in a child's consigment shop nearly two years ago(May 27th, to be exact). I didn't have any money to buy it, but my friend was willing to buy it for me(it was only a dollar)and I read it and enjoyed it all over again.

Since I was older, I understood the story more(and I paid closer attention to the drawings, even noticing that in the night after the store was closed, all the dolls had their eyes closed as opposed to their eyes being open during the day).

This teaches the lesson that every toy you buy for your kids doesn't have to be perfect. Kids and adults will appreciate this story(the adults moreso).

Summary: A funny story
Review: It was quite a funny story when Lisa wanted to buy the poor bear with no button. Her mum didn't let her buy it when Lisa wanted but she came back the next day and bought Corduroy.

It was funny when Corduroy pulled the button off the bed.

I loved reading this book and then I got " A Pocket For Corduroy" to read.

I am 6 years old and think lots of other children would enjoy reading this book.

Summary: loved it as a child and now my girls love it!
Review: Just a wonderful classic book about an adorable bear named Corduroy. My girls ages 4 and 2 always ask for this book at bedtime. Highly recommend!

Summary: Charming, Gentle Tale
Review: My 2 1/2-year-old son loves this sweet, gentle story -- as do I. It's great in that the characters aren't all cookie-cutter children's characters. The little girl lives in an apartment in the city, the mother initially rejects the teddy bear because he's missing a button in the store, etc. If it's possible for a book to be both realistic AND whimsical, this one did it.

Summary: This one gets four paws up!
Review: My daughter received this as a present for her third birthday. I love it as much as she does. It will touch your heart and remind you that home and family are worth giving your all for, as Corduroy and Lisa do. Grab this book and your child, niece, nephew, or friend's son or daughter, and read this to them. You'll both be better for the experience.
