Rating: Summary: True: good book on missle theory but it was not the Navy Review: What a lot of people don't like about this book is that it accuses the US Navy of the probable missle shoot-down of TWA Flight 800. But, when reading this book, substitute "US Navy" with "Al Queda", keeping in mind the below link. Then the book will ring true. I rate the book 4 stars and not 5 because it tries to advance the US Navy hypothesis a bit too strenously. The book should have been more neutral. It is almost impossible the US Navy could have kept such a secret. ...

Rating: Summary: There At It Again!! Review: While I believe Jim Sanders has indeed provided ample evidence to support his theory that TWA Flt. 800 was brought down by an airborne missle, I had a little problem with his evidence conviently being lost or taken by the US government on two occasions. This book is an easy read and provokes thought as to why, if the 747 is so unsafe (explosion in center fuel tank?.....give me a break!), is it still flying throughout the world? Government spin doctors were fast at work on this one and it was obvious that this story was conveniently "pushed aside" on TV and as reported in the newspaper (This story went from the front page of the LA Times to back page in just 3 days). The NTSB, FAA, TWA and US Government know what really happened here. The unfortunate part is that the thought of our government conducting such a cover-up is so unthinkable, that most Americans would rather stick their heads in the sand than demand a real account of what happened. Final note: I would suggest that those intereseted in this incident also read a book by Michel Brun, Incident at Sakhalin: The True Mission of Kal Flight 007. Excellent book which shows that this type of behavior has happened before. In closing, I would suggest potential readers enjoy both books and come to your own conclusion.
Rating: Summary: Excuse Me? Review: You mean to tell me that nobody on board any navy ship suposedly involved in the downing of flight 800 would not have gone running to the nearest tabloid and told all? An 800 dollar a month seaman recruit would have bolted to the New York Post and reavealed the whole thing for several thousand dollars. It is idiotic to say that hundreds of shipboard people would walk around mum to an accidental launch of a missile that brought down a commercial jet! The author is however a good fiction writer in the order of John Nance. JB
