Rating: Summary: The Truth is in here!! A must read!! Review: The saddening sickening truth is here, that a missilebrought down TWA 800 on July 18th 1996, is uncovered in this book. MrSanders had himself obtained proof from the crash debris showing that indeed a missile brought down the plane! He details how it happened as well us interviews with very credible eyewitness', and an unidentified informant within the NTSB official investigation team, who all KNOW that a U.S. Navy training missle brought the plane down, and how the U.S. government is trying to cover it tracks!
Rating: Summary: More Conspiracy Theory Than Cover Up Fact Review: This book espouses the theory that TWA Flight 800 was accidently shot down by friendly fire during a Navy test of the CEC system. The first thing I would say is that the author, as an investigator, was not "independent" as he claims but was emotionally too close to the case to be objective as his wife is an employee of TWA and he knew members of the flight crew that perished. The second thing I would say is that his thesis that the Navy removed from the scene the remains of the missile and those pieces of the TWA plane that had the tell-tale reddish-orange traces of missile propellant is not logical as he proposes that this was done under cover of darkness during the first night after the crash. Is it logal to think that Navy divers would be able to sort out the necessary pieces of metal under water in the dark? I think not. The third thing I would say is that the Clinton Administration has enough "cover-ups" and out-right lies to its credit to make believable the premise that the beauracracy was trying to hide something. I don't recommend the book.
Rating: Summary: A case for reasonable doubt to official explanation. Review: This book makes a compelling case for there being at least reasonable doubt concerning the official explanation for TWA 800. It's clearly written, without conspiratorial exaggeration.
Rating: Summary: A troubling story Review: This book should trouble anyone who is serious about the TWA 800 case. I came to it from position of a sceptic about "conspiracy" theorists but the sheer volume of factual information here certainly points to a cover up. Certainly it was an abnormal crash investigation. Read about it yourself. The failure to disclose the evidence of goverment rocketry experts, the discounting of the testimony of literally hundreds of eye witnesses (some with impeccable military backgrounds), the absence of any real evidence of fuel tank explosion, it all adds up to something fishy. And I'm no conspiracy minded person. Two quibbles: the last pages of the book are marred by a silly fictional guess at a terrorist plot and the government's vidictive prosecution of the Sanders (particularly the innocent wife) may have been petty but he did take evidence without authority. We're not told the outcome of the case after conviction. My concerns still remain in the area of too many people having to be involved to keep a cover up secret - but I do not discount the possibility for reasons of fear and misguided patriotism. I believe the most likely explanation was that the airplane was brought down by a Navy missile, most likely fired in error. There were an unusual number of Navy ship in the vicinity a fact at first denied by the Navy. As for the Navy disclaimers I'm sorry to say that I discount those. The Navy has shown its ability to lie loyally in the "Liberty" case where they covered for Israel's attack on that vessel under political orders and they would have even greater reason to lie here. If I am correct otherwise honest people could be convinced that they must cover up "for the good of the country", the source of many evils.

Rating: Summary: An Expose'Of Government Criminality Review: This is a tremendous book - the information has been meticulously researched. No stones were left unturned. It provides conclusive evidence that our government agencies were in collusion with the mainstream media and the White House to hide and obfuscate a case of mass murder in the skies. Anyone with any knowledge of fuel tanks, fuel tank explosions, ignition temperatures of jet fuel, volatility of jet fuels, etc., knows immediately that this aircraft could not possibly have exploded because of a "mechanical failure" (a center wing tank explosion). The government did not provide an opinion from any nationally recognized testing laboratory to verify their findings. The government denied the National Transportation Safety Board their duty to investigate the incident, but gave the responsibility to the FBI, an agency that does not normally investigate aircraft incidents. The government agencies, in obvious collusion with the White House, all agreed that this incident was caused by a "center wing tank explosion." The FBI, CIA, NTSB, FAA, et al, would hardly ever agree on anything, including sending a "get well" card to the Pope. Mr. Cashill and Mr. Sanders have opened "a can of worms," in my opinion, and exposed the gigantic and shocking amount of corruption that exists within our federal government.
Rating: Summary: The Downing of TWA Flight 800 Review: This is honestly one of the most interesting-and frightening-stories I've ever read. It's full of information that the government doesn't want you to know about what really happened to TWA Flight 800. Sanders has done his honework on this one, and that's why he's been targeted by the FBI. This is one book that the flying public--and, in reality, all American voters and taxpayers--should read. It will not only expose the truth, but it takes the government's "findings" about the explosion of the plane's center fuel tank, and blows it right out of the water. How, you'll have to find out for yourself. As a public, we need to learn to question what the government and the liberal choose to tell us about such cases, and what they conveinent "forget" to mention. This book, at the very least, will make you think that a cover-up is an entirely plausible thing in relating to the explosion of TWA Flight 800. FYI, it's also a good read for fans of true-life conspiracy stories.
Rating: Summary: Tragedy from the Top, down Review: TRAGEDY FROM THE TOP, DOWN... I read the book 2 years ago, have followed all the web sites and have availed myself of this city's (and other's) library full of the account since - and James Sander's recounting of the downing of TWA flight 800 is as real, and as ugly, and as truthful as it gets. If your head's still buried in the sand about US government cover-ups, you can barely face yourself in the mirror about "Spooks" and you believe every word the President utters on CNN...then take a Valium, sit in the corner, cover yourself up with a white sheet and we'll bring three squares a day to your cell. Yessir, what a life... You don't have to be a Standard Missile "rocket scientist" to understand the findings in Sander's book - really. You just have to open your mind to the possibilities. Don't be surprised if sleep doesn't come once you start reading. The facts are all over the I-Net and in LIBRARIES AROUND THE WORLD, not just in Sander's vivid tale. Even better - join the Yahoo "800m" discussion group if you can handle the raw truth (and if you qualify) about this insidious and nefarious government crime shut-up. CEC (Cooperative Engagement Capability) is a new-world reality and it's practiced on a regular basis by our military and their smart-weapons manufacturers (...although, the Navy has moved their CEC operations out of New York waters and reestablished them in the Hawaiian Islands [off Kauai] since the TWA 800 debacle). CEC, and its quirky bugs, are the shaky pillar on which large portions of future warfare will be conducted by our military. Study the web sites of our military manufacturers...do a Google search on CEC...read the hundreds of documented witness accounts of the 'missile theory' on the many TWA 800 web sites (heavily, and alarmingly, discounted by the 3-letter spooks and in the subsequent hearing)...take a basic aeronautics course at your local community college...read a freshman high-school physics book...become an informed citizen of your own country. If you don't come away from this book better informed, slightly aghast, or petrified, at its implications then you haven't looked deeply enough into your own bathroom mirror, naked. In fact, I'd be amazed if the 3-letter guys ever allow this review to be published. Become a mensch, embrace reality for once -- and read Sander's book and sequel. Then get ready for a wake-up call: it's worse than whatever you just read. [Top-5 defense manufacturer employee]
Rating: Summary: A super engaging book. Review: Unless Jim Sanders lied and wrote a total work of fiction, which is highly doubtful, this book suggests a frightening scenario which he has made very believable. Unfortunately, everything I have seen and heard from the government and media tends to make his description more believable. The one theory nobody in the public eye has reacted to is the one Sanders proposes. The best defense is to totally ignore the information you want others to ignore and that seems to be the response to Sanders. I would like to see someone with some linkage and guts shine some light on what Sanders claims happened and not allow the government to sweep it under the rug. I would like to see this guy get some air time or interviews in some high profile print and see where it goes.
Rating: Summary: It's A Brave New World Review: We live in a different world today. Our President, on television, says he did not have sex with 'that woman'. We need to look carefully at everything we're told by our government. Did anyone notice the recent leaking out that an Italian airliner that 'crashed' 16 years ago was really brought down by a NATO plane shooting at a Libyan jet that had entered Italian airspace? Stonewalling works for a while, but eventually (hopefully) truth wins out. Witnesses see an object rise in the sky; an 'anomalous' radar blip at the right time and place; and a photo of a missile-like object. And we're to believe these are all coincidences, errors and not relevant? Read this book. I'm not sure if it has all the right answers, but it at least looks at the right clues.
