Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent! Hillarious!
Review: The book is very funny and well written. Her anology of new cow-old cow is quite original and hillarious. I would rate this book right next to Bridget Jones' Diary.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: She made me relive every stomach-cramping agony
Review: This book is fabulous. EVERY woman has experienced a guy like Ray, maybe even Eddie. It made me remember all those horrible, sleepless nights wondering Why? Although those days are behind me, I can appreciate any writer who can make me so vividly recall how awful single life can be. But aside from that, it was funny too. I highly recommend this and send it out to friends whenever an occasion arises.

Summary: Very Disappointing.
Review: I was so disappointed in this book. The research and the constant cow comaparisons got old very quickly. The relationship that Jane was in lasted what, 5 minutes, and we are supposed to believe it destroyed her whole life? Plus, I have no sympathy for a character who goes after an engaged man. She deserved her misery. This book was completely UN-funny.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Highly Enjoyable Single Woman's Read
Review: This book was terriffic - anyone who's ever been mind f*cked will really relish in this book's comedy. The theories are nothing enlightening but seeing the characters growth through the hilarious comments of her and her supporting friends is really uplifting. It is easy to read and keeps you engaged till the end.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Sometimes funny but shallow all over
Review: The book was at times amusing, however fell short of my already low expectations of it. Not bad for a summer read at the beach, or a quiet weekend after a breakup, but nothing worth buying if you can borrow an old copy from someone else. Also includes such features as a cop-out ending that could be written better by...anyone.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An uplifting, truthful humor for anyone ever dumped
Review: Animal Husbandry is one woman's quest for an answer to the mystery of why she was dumped. Her humerous analysis of men's behavior leads her to many theories that appear to hold some truth to them. Anyone who has ever been dumped will be able to appreciate and enjoy this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Makes you a little paranoid of men
Review: I really liked this book, even though it tends to male-bash quite a bit. I thought it was funny, and offered a different and negative view on male behavior in regards to dating. Unfortunately, sometimes her interpretation on men's motives has proven true!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: We have all been there.
Review: A Funny book. Sounds like my girlfriend chatting on the phone about someone's life. Everyone has been the new girlfriend or the old girlfriend at some point. A bit too much about the "research" but a quick fun read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Delightfully amusing look at dating and breaking up
Review: This book keeps you laughing from the first page to the last. It's the perfect cure for anyone who's had a relationship turn sour and not know why. Zigman is clever and hilariously sarcastic in her humorous depiction of the single girl trying desperatly to understand men.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A MUST-READ for all single women
Review: I originally bought this book for a friend who has been dumped by a string of "bovines" but I couldn't possibly give it to her until I'd screened it myself. I ended up just loaning her my copy because I couldn't bear to part with it!

Told through the satirical eyes of Jane Goodall (recently dumped) we learn of the "New Cow, Old Cow" theory: men's inherent belief that the grass is always greener on the other side of the cubicle. Laura Zigman's premise was not to compose a diatribe on how to cope after a break up. Rather, Animal Husbandry is just a funny look at how hard it is to be single & to meet anyone decent in this day & age.

All single women (& friends of single women) who have ever been dumped will enjoy this book & to any male readers out there: we're onto you & forewarned is forearmed!
