Summary: What a great book
Review: I have never read a book that made me feel so good about life. This book was a great treat for anyone. I loved it so much I sent my copy to my best friend in California and now I need to get a new one. What an attention getting (and keeping) tear-jerker. I loved it

Summary: A World War II Love Story.
Review: I just loved this beautiful love story. It tells me how the couples felt when they had to part for the war. Neil and Caroline were such warm, caring and in love people. I would love to believe that at times, during the war, a service man would show compassion toward his fellow man as Neil did for the Japanese fighter. Neil Jr. had every reason to be very proud of his parents. This is a perfect Hallmark Hall of Fame movie.

Summary: The Last Valentine
Review: I just read the Last Valentine, and it is truly wonderful. I have always been interested in WWII love stories, and what the soldiers had to go through, and this book fulfills my wonder. It is so romantic and thought out. Where are the men that was in this book??! I would recomend this book to anyone, even if you don't like war books. It's not hard to comprehend about war. It's a book you cannot put down. Hats off to Pratt!

Summary: Two words: Tear Jerker!!!
Review: I loved this book. It kept me captive throughout the entire thing. I would love to have a love like Caroline and Neil had, one that endures through all kinds of adversity. I got chills when Caroline passed away and Neil came to the train station to meet her and take her back into his arms for all eternity. Definitely needed my tissues handy for this one.

Summary: I couldn't put this book down
Review: I saw this book in a library afew years ago. I read the back and decided to give it a try. I could not put this book down. I wanted more each time I started a new chapter. The story line passing from the present to the past was great and you could visualize the scene. You could not help but love the characters he created and feel what they felt.
Everytime a friend asks for a book to read, I loan them my copy or just recommend the title.

Summary: True Love does conquer all.
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who believed that love could conquer all. The characters in the book will make you believe in true love even if you have yet to experience it. This is the best work of fiction that I have read in a long time.

Summary: more than a love story
Review: i've read good books before, but this one is at the top of my list. it's a love story that occurs during world war II and the love endores through the end. many surprises, especially in the end. I was in tears as i was reading this book. very few books ending can do that for me.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Simple & Sweet
Review: In "The Last Valentine", James Pratt simply & sweetly tells a story of true endearing love. Although a bit altruistic, I found this short novel to pluck at my heartstrings.

Coming from divorced parents myself, I too have wondered if total devotion exists. And that is what TV reporter Susan Allison is attemtpting to discover. On her quest she meets Neil Thomas, Jr. who shares his parents enduring relationship starting with their tearful good-byes during WWII.

A good blend of present day and past. A circle within a circle. If you still believe in love stories....this "Valentine" is a "Hallmark".

Thanks--CDS
