Rating: Summary: zzzzzzzzz Review: This is the worst sequel ever to such a great book as River God. The characters are lame, straight out of a romance novel, and everything about the book is so incredibly predictable, I skipped the pages until I finally got to what I knew was gonna happen, after a lot of unnecessary detail. The good guys get what they want, and the bad guys all get their comeuppance. Very boring.
Rating: Summary: interesting, entertaining and worth the read Review: this was a really good book. If you like tales of ancient egypt, romance & treasure hunting you will like it too. One reader commented on the style, but i found it a pleasant and enjoyable read.
Rating: Summary: Not the most interesting of the 3 Review: Tough going, especially after having read River God. Plough through and then get Warlock. You won't miss much by skipping this book, yet it does answer many of the lingering questions from River God. In Smith's style it moves right along and has a great ending.
Rating: Summary: Fun read Review: Wilbur Smith's characters are purely fictional, and this is just a fun, fun read. This is the second book in the series, but I recommend reading River God and Warlock first (also very good), THEN reading Seventh Scroll as it takes place "present day" and the previous two books will give you the "historical" background for Seventh Scroll. If you liked the pure, simple fun of Indiana Jones, you will enjoy this book. Absolutely could not put it down towards the end!
