Summary: UNFORGETABLE!!
Review: I read almost all of Judith's historical bestseller, and guest what?! Paradise is so different from those of her novels, and I was surprised how Judith could still present her story for the contemporary world. If any of you ever liking Danielle Steel's and Sydney Sheldon's works- Paradise has their "between" storyline WITH Judith Mcnaught's special touch...and it is special. Two things I found most distinct in the story is that her female character who are always head strong, witty and too vibrant in the historical novels is indeed calm, serene and (less foolish) here. The change is so refreshing and somehow it is more mature. Secondly, it was ALMOST always the male character who at the end chasing after his love... but in Paradise? Well, you just have to find out yourself how Judith leads her heroine to her hero. Overall is an enjoyable story, I didn't want it to end... and such unforgetable characters!

Summary: A book you won't mind reading again and again!
Review: This book is NOT just a typical romance novel. It offers so much more that it's hard to know where to start. This is a read that gets you so involved that it will outrage you, make you laugh out loud, smile, gasp in disbelief and fall in love with the characters. Over the years, I've read this book so many times, with the story never disapointing me, and loaned it out repeatedly that I finally had to buy another copy. If I ever meet JM, this book is the one I would want her to sign for me. It's amazingly well written, intellectual, complex and satifying. Don't miss out. It's well worth your time.

Summary: A Fanstasy-like Book
Review: I loved this book because Matt was so smart and he could have anyone but he chose her. I fell in love with him more than I did with the female character. Nevertheless I understood the female character and supported her throughout the book and i truly like the secondary romance. This book and "shades of twilight" are my two favorite books in all of the romance catergories.

Summary: Mesmerizing
Review: This was my very first Judith McNaught, and I am just soooo happy I read it. Once I find an author I enjoy, I have this tendency to read every single book they have, and then I have to find someone new which can be very difficult.

Judith McNaught was this someone new. I absolutely adore this book. I have it in paperback, and I've worn it out rereading it, and managed to find it in hardcover. Buy it in hardcover if you can find it, because you will return to it time and time again when faced with a book drought so to speak.

I laughed and cried with Matt and Meredith. You become such a part of their world, and feel that you know these people. And boy does she leave you wanting more and more. I know that she can't write about these characters forever, but I sure would love another trip into Matt and Meredith's lives.

Pick this book up as soon as you can, and you'll never want to put it down again. If you've never read a Judith McNaught book, this is one of the best places to start. I've read every book of hers within 6 months, and I'm just dying for more. Unfortunately, I'm back in that book drought again, but at least I have the Farrell's to come home to. :)

Summary: Much more than your typical "romance" novel
Review: Paradise was the first book I read by Judith McNaught and I was glad to start off which such a winner. It is a complicated extremely well written book about two complex and challenging people with a long history. The book compells you to keep reading and is a page turner from the first chapter.

It is the story of Meredith and Matthew- two people who met as teens, married and separated due to a cruel misunderstanding. Both have spent the intervening years apart trying to forget and concentrate on their careers. Years later they meet up when Meredith discovers that their divorce was never finalized- and she has a new fiancee (parker)! The years have allowed meredith to grow up and has allowed matthew to become a wealthy and successful businessman. Both have their own misunderstandings about their youthful marriage and what drove them apart and matthew wants desperately to try to make things work again- despite thinking that Meredith had betrayed him earlier.

This book was heartwrenching and complex- making you cry and root for the characters. Even the secondary characters of parker, meredith's best friend and their parents are well written and interesting! A very worth while read!!

Summary: Touching, poignant love story
Review: This was a truly awesome book. I've read the book a number of times and I'm still touched by the special, magical, once-in-a-lifetime love that Meredith and Matt shared. Both the hero and heroine are strong, well developed characters and JM has written it so well that you actually feel what the lead characters are going through. Scenes from the book remained with me long after I had finished the book. Though the book tends to drag in between and you're waiting for Matt and Meredith to meet again it was worth it. A must read and a definite addition to your romance novel collection !!!

Summary: One of the best books I've ever read, if not the best!
Review: Several years ago I had the first test of Ms.McNaught's book by reading "UNTIL YOU" and it turned out to be a big dissapointment that I swore I'd never ever read anything by this author again. I thought I just simply couldn't stand her 'STUPID, UNREASONABLE, big misunderstanding' formular, the one that I believed she's famous for.

However, I'm lucky enough to give her a second chance by reading "PARADISE" though I knew this book would follow the same 'big misunderstanding' formular as her earlier book I'd read. To my surprise, though the plot is very simple-- A rich girl and a poor boy accidently crushed in an unusual circumstance that drove them to have an affair which cause them a serious trouble that change their life forever--the book is extraordinary capable to hold my interest from the start until the end. After finished the book I totally realised how truely, madly, deeply Matt & Meredith are in love with each other. Among hundreds of books I'd read, there're a few books that could make me fell in love with the charactors. This book did. I dare say Matt is the most adorable hero in romance fictions out there.

"PARADISE" is an absolutely romantic, entertaining and touching book. The big misunderstanding in this book is make sense and painfully effective as it caused the couple the heart-broken braking up and a long separation between them. It also makes the bittersweet relationship between the hero and heroine more cativative. Although I also agree with some reviewers that the story seems to be dragged out a bit in the middle when the hero and heroine're apart, I think the author intended to creat that gap just to make us more eager to see the reaction between them when they meet each other again after a long separation.

This is the book that makes me feel really good after reading it. I wish I could find this book earlier. This book encouraged me to try more of ms. McNaught's books. If the other books of this author are as good as this one, or just close, I'll definitely devote myself to be another fan of her books.

If you like this book, don't hesitate to read "PERFECT" by the same author. Matt and Meredith appear as cameoes in that book and the book alone is absolutely a perfect reading.

All in all, this book deserved more than 5 stars.
