Rating: Summary: Want to get rid of the old and look for something new !!! Review: In Matters of the Heart. This book alone brings new meaning to heart issues. God allowed this book to minister to me where I was with him and in. It brought new revelation to where my relationship really really was with God. It took so long for me to get out of the first couple of chapters. I promise you - if you are looking to have a changed heart and are looking at having the heart of God please please please read this book, only if this is your season for it. Ask God if this is your season for you to read this book. Be Blessed readers
Rating: Summary: You Ran Well, but Who Hindered You? Review: Juanita started off on the right road, but was detoured along the way by Satan with his deceit and blindness. She became overwhelmed by the fortune and fame. She forsook the Holy Spirit and found herself caught up in adultery (St. Luke 16:18 and Mark 10:11). How can you say that you love the Lord if you cannot keep his commandments. It's impossible. Juanita got caught up in her flesh and became carnel minded. The only way for her to get out of this situation is to turn away from sin, which means that she would have to leave her adulterated relationship. Just like the woman at the well, Juanita was "caught in the very act" because her wedding was telecast nationwide and, therefore, there are many witnesses. Not only is she an adulteress, she is also a fornicator, false prophetess and a liar. ALL liars shall have their place in the lake of fire.
Wake up people. If you follow a false prophet(tess), you can end up in hell believing a lie. Read the Word for yourself and ask God for the understanding/revelation.
You have to be "SOULED" out in order to walk and talk this journey. You have to sell your soul to God through his son, Jesus Christ. Otherwise, you cannot receive or understand His gospel.
Rating: Summary: Compelling Review: MATTERS OF THE HEART by Juanita Bynum delivers a wonderful, right-on-time message concerning walking into the full light of God's love with a "new heart." It speaks to the battle of the mind, which is worldly based, versus the heart, which is soul based. The mind will resist the revolution that the soul is undergoing as the Christian grows in their relationship with Christ. The need for this renewal is paramount because the word of God cannot flourish in a hardened heart. It is imperative that the heart and mind be in line together.
Often times, God will allow us to endure a wilderness experience. During this time, it is a retrospective period where we learn more about our faith and ourselves. This desolate time will help us to begin to examine the contents of our heart and our mind. One key teaching in the book that really stood out to me is that the abundance of what is our hearts will pour out of not only out mouths, but in the manner in which we conduct ourselves.
MATTERS OF THE HEART is not a book which you can take lightly. The message from the pages pour into your consciousness and minister to your soul. It is very well written, easy to read and chock full of Bible scriptures which fortify the message Ms. Bynum is presenting. This is a necessary read for anyone seeking to encourage a change in their life. MATTERS OF THE HEART presented a very timely message for me by really causing me to examine the manner in which I approach situations and taking pause to examine the contents of my heart and responding in a kinder manner. This book does not touch on anything new - more so, it is the manner in which the information is conveyed that challenges the reader into a new operating plan. Personally, MATTERS OF THE HEART has helped me to give pause to reflect on the things that are pleasing to God versus esteeming those that are pleasing to man. With the abundance of scripture and food for thought provided in the book, God's words have been reaffirmed to me and I felt a sense of renewal after mediating upon the message this book conveys.

Rating: Summary: eyes wide open Review: Matters of the Heart was an eye opening inspirational read!
Rating: Summary: Power Speaker; but not a Author Review: Prophetess Bynum is a powerful woman of God. However, the content of this book was not what I expected. When reading spiritual material, one expects to use the principles learned to apply to their everyday life. There was nothing I could take from this book to help me in my spiritual walk. There were no personal examples that I could learn from or to say, hey...I'm going through this situation now so I know "This too shall Pass." She is an excellent speaker but she's not a writer.
Rating: Summary: A Messeage that should go to the masses Review: This book has changed my walk with God. All this time, I thought I had a heart that was after God, until Dr. Bynum shared her story and I was able to relate to it. She reveals so much about herself and how some of us Christians have been tricked by the enemey to believe that we are pure of heart, when so much evil is hidden deeply in our minds and emotions. This book makes you question, "how saved are you?" This is a message that needs to be heard by the entire body of Christ. Not just young Saints, but everyone, including Prophets, Teachers and Pastors. We ALL need the new heart message. I'm giving this book to my entire family for Christmas, the saved and unsaved.
Rating: Summary: PRAISE GOD FOR THIS BOOK! Review: This book is a heart changer the way Dr. Bynum talkied about having a spiritual heart transplant was really good and then how she talked about the mind also and then she compared it to the scientific way of thinking and i thought that it was really good!
Rating: Summary: Becoming a "Real" Christian Review: This book is exactly what the others said it is and then some...If you're trying to find out how to be "REAL" with the Father, then this is an exceptional guide. It's convicting and just what we need in these end times. I look forward to reading it again and again as the Lord directs.
Rating: Summary: If you aren't looking to change, don't read this book Review: This message is definitely needed in this hour. So many people are being controlled by their own choice to go against God's ways and then give in their own fleshly desires and get caught up in strongholds. But what we really need to get up out of these is the new heart. This book had to be prayed over as it was being written, because I promise you it isn't an easy feed. Take your time to digest it, as you digest the scripture that God leads you to read and you are reading this book. I am going to go through the book a second time around now. This is an excellent step to your renewal and spiritual growth.
