Rating: Summary: Something is seriously wrong here. Review: Are negative stars allowed? If so, I would give it a -*. I truly haven't read anything worse. Basically, the story is about a group of young freaks who sit around an abandoned lot worshiping the Egyptian gods. I would give away the ending, but it doesn't really have one-just the vague promise (threat?) of a sequel about gypsies. I admit that I and a group of thirty others were forced to read it, and we all hated it. I have liked school books before, for instance, Seth of the Lion People is a great book. This, however, is simply award-winning idiocy. If you like it, go ahead and read it. If not, don't expect it to get better. Also, the last reviewer was correct. My teacher at the time had heard of people reading the book and then making strange sacrifices and such. Just don't take the book seriously and it won't mess you up, however.
Rating: Summary: Children, guard your minds Review: This book caught my attention because we are studying Egypt. Instead of an insightful, thought provoking fiction, it proved to be a negative inticement for young readers. Children, be careful what you read and what you watch. Being intrigued by the darker side of things is understandable, but it is dangerous and unwise. My concern is that our society is embracing what my generation would never have tolerated. It is not the book itself that is so scarry, but it is that parents are allowing their children to absorb the ideas, values, and practices of books like Harry Potter and The Egypt Game. We must set a higher standard for our children. If no goal is set, it is sure to be obtained.
Rating: Summary: A murder attempt at Egypt Headquarters Review: The Egypt Game. When I first looked at this book, it looked kind of creepy, so I read it. When I was reading, it was creepy! The author used great words that make the book scary, but also fun to read. An Exciting, mysterious game that started with a bunch of kids who were bored with the same old neighborhood games. They were having fun playing Egypt in the storage yard of an old store, until the town had a crisis. There had been a murder, so none of the kids could play outside because their parents didn't want their kids to risk being murdered. Will the Egypt gang ever get to play in Egypt again? Find out in this awesome, page turning book, The Egypt Game. I recommend this book to all readers who like a little bit of fright in your reading.

I thought it was boring at first but kept reading, I read it until I looked at the names toof the chapters. My mom would have never let me even start reading it if she saw them. I have been tought by my parents to watch what you put in your mind and these are things I wish not to. I read some of the oter reviews they must see alot more htan I have. To not be affected by this. I would tell little kids to have there moms read it first. just in case. I will not even open it again.

Rating: Summary: Egypt Game: The greatest Secret of Mystery Review: This book was about a girl named April. She is new to the neighborhood and is welcomed by the Ross's family. April and the the Ross's children (Melanie and marshall) start the Egypt Game. After awhile two new boys from school have to join. Their names are Toby and Ken. Toby is excited about joining, but Ken is just doing it because of Toby. More exciting and fun things happen throuhout this book. I didn't like this book because some of it was boring. I liked this book because it was exciting at alot of parts. The author of The Egypt Game is Zilpha Keatley Snyder.
Rating: Summary: The game of mystery Review: I didn't like the first few chapters but after a while I got in to this book and then I couldn't put it down. This is a great book for anyone at any age. My favorite part was on Halloween. I can't tell you what happened then I would ruin the story. By the the ending is the best part so I wouldn't change a thing about it.
